Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, Former Chairman at ISRO

IIM Bangalore famous alumnus Dr. K. Radhakrishnan was the Chairman at ISRO from 2009 till 2014. Under his leadership, the Mars Orbiter Mission, Chandrayaan – 2 and Indian Human Spaceflight initiatives flourished. Dr. K. Radhakrishnan is a recipient of Padma Bhushan in 2014 for his exemplary contribution to the space research in India. 

Sameer Suneja, Executive Director and Group CEO,  Perfetti Van Melle

Sameer Suneja is Global CEO of confectionery manufacturer Perfetti Van Melle. He is the first non-Italian to head the third largest confectionery group in the world. Suneja joined Colgate Palmolive as a brand manager in June 1994. He left Palmolive in January 1996 to join Frito Lay, where he worked for a little over a year. He joined Perfetti Van Melle in February 1997. He was promoted to the role of executive vice-president for global innovations and business development in August 2012. Damodar Mall, Chief Executive Officer, Grocery Retail, Reliance Retail

IIM Bangalore Alumni Damodar Mall is the President & CEO of Grocery Retail Business (JioMart, SMART Superstore) at Reliance Retail, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. He was formerly the Director, Integrated Food Strategy at Future Group. Mall has published two books, SupermarketWala & Be A SupermarketWala, on consumer behavior and modernizing retail in India.

Damodar Mall promoted a supermarket venture with Radha Krishan Damani in 1999–2000, as Apna Bazaar stores. With learnings from this incubation venture, R K Damani went on to build powerful retail chain D Mart. Saugata Gupta, Managing Director and CEO at Marico Ltd

IIM Bangalore Famous Alumni Saugata Gupta serves as MD and CEO at Marico Limited responsible for driving the company’s growth and operations both nationally and internationally. He has helped transform Marico into a high performing business with a commitment to sustainable development.

Saugata joined Marico in January 2004 as Head of Marketing and was elevated to CEO of the India business in 2007. In April 2013, Marico restructured its Consumer Product Business (CPB) in India and International Business Group (IBG) under Saugata’s leadership as the CEO of Marico Limited, the unified FMCG business. Thereafter, in March 2014, he was appointed as the Managing Director of the company. Saugata started his career with Cadbury (now Mondelez) where he spent 9 years in various roles in Sales and Marketing in India and the United Kingdom. Subsequently, he went on to become the Chief of Marketing and Group Sales at ICICI Prudential and was part of the startup team that was instrumental in establishing ICICI Prudential as the largest private sector insurance firm in the country. Prof Das Narayandas is the Edsel Bryant Ford Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. He is currently the Senior Associate Dean, Harvard Business Publishing. Prof Narayandas previously has been Senior Associate Dean, External Relations, Senior Associate Dean, Executive Education, Chair of the Executive Education Advanced Management Program and the Program for Leadership Development.

Prof Narayandas has twice been selected as the Class Day faculty speaker, and has received the award for teaching excellence from the graduating HBS MBA Class on several occasions.
