The Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad (IMT, G) offers the AICTE approved PGDM (BFS) (Banking and Financial Services) Programme in academic collaboration with the Vlerick Business School (VBS), Belgium.
The programme was launched in the academic year 2019-20 when the first batch of students was admitted. The second batch joined the programme in the academic year 2020-21. The first batch included 32 students and is looking forward to graduate after earning the required course credits. The second batch consists of 40 students is about to complete the first year of studies and is about to start the Summer Internship Program (SIP) very soon.
Students of the program have secured jobs and internships at banks, financial sector companies, consulting and analytics firms in a diverse set of roles.
The PGDM (BFS) programme provides students with contemporary skills and knowledge that are relevant for managing core operations of firms operating in the banking and financial services sector. The goal of the programme is to groom budding managers who are immediately employable in core banking and financial services functions and who can be groomed as future leaders in banking and financial services industry.
The programme architecture, placed as Annexures, is jointly developed by IMTG and VBS. VBS faculty will deliver about 40% of the courses.
In addition to summer internships, students are required to complete a boot camp in Brussels and London. This boot camp is expected to give them international exposure and an opportunity to understand the working of best-run European banks and financial institutions.
