My exam prep strategy, experience & Advice:

For the benefit of MBA aspirants, MBAUniverse.com asked Sakshi about her preparation strategy and advice to do well in MBA entrance exams. Details follow:

MBAUniverse.com: How did you prepare for IRMASAT? Please share your strategy? How much did you score in it?

Sakshi : I have habit of reading newspaper daily which helped me lot in the IRMASAT examination. Apart from that I read Economic Issue of PratiyogitaDarpan, Kurushetra and Yojana magazine as it gave me insight of various Yojanas and work which is going in government.

MBAUniverse.com: What was your score in IRMASAT?

Sakshi: I scored 29.25 out of 40 in IRMASAT.

MBAUniverse.com: What would you suggest to IRMA aspirants to prepare for IRMASAT 2018?

Sakshi : I would suggest everyone to start reading newspaper from now if they have not started it already as it will keep you updated about the current happening in and around India.

MBAUniverse.com: How can candidates use Mock tests better? What is your advice?

Sakshi:  As I said earlier Mock test is the most important thing during the preparation. It helps one to gear up before the actual examination.

I will advise everyone to give mock test regularly in an interval of 7 days at least and keep one day for analysis of the mock. Along with the test the analysis part is also important as through it one will get to know their areas of weakness, strength and what kind of mistakes are they committing.

MBAUniverse.com:  Did you go to offline coaching centre? What role does a coaching centre play?

Sakshi: Yes, I joined TIME Center, Anand for the preparation.

The coaching helped me in being disciplined and provided me competitive environment. The guidance and the direction given by teachers helped me a lot during the preparation.

MBAUniverse.com: Which institutes did you apply for admission and which institutes offered you admission?

Sakshi: As I am from agricultural background I was determined that I would go for Rural management or Agribusiness management. So apart from IRMA I applied in XIMB (Rural Management) and MANAGE(Agribuisness Management).

MBAUniverse.com: Please share which B-schools offered you admission?

Sakshi: I got call from IRMA, XIMB and MANAGE and was offered admission from all the three institutes.

MBAUniverse.com: Which B-school you decided upon and why?

Sakshi: Finally I decided to go for IRMA as this is the institute which provides you managerial skills keeping you in touch with the ground reality. This provides you the knowledge to be the manager for the development of the rural India and this is thing which I always wanted to do.

MBAUniverse.com: Any message you would like to share with the candidates preparing for  IRMASAT 2018?

Sakshi: Don’t take too much stress. Spend few hours daily and start giving mocks at regular interval. Read new paper daily and try to read and interpret atleast one article.

All the best for the exams!!

GD experience

Apart from this questions were mostly asked from politics, general happening in world and my views on it, Why I chose that institute.

PI experience

As I have done B.Tech in Agriculture Information Technology (which is kind of unique course in India), my questions in all these three institute revolved around this only.
