Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow one of four top rated IIMs and the 4th among top ranked B schools in NIRF Ranking 2017 is going to conduct CAT 2017. Prof Dwivedi is to convene CAT 2017 without any change in testing partner agency TCS. As per the tradition, the admission chair of CAT convening IIM is appointed as the CAT convener. Accordingly Prof Neeraj Dwivedi is the first obvious choice of IIM Lucknow as CAT 2017 convener.

MBAUniverse.com anticipates that Prof Dwivedi would bring about more changes in CAT 2017 exam structure and pattern, synchronizing with what IIM Ahmedabad had begun in 2015 and was carried forward by IIM Bangalore in 2016.

MBAUniverse.com was the first to break the news and chose to congratulate Prof Dwivedi who has reverted enthusiastically with the humble words “Thanks for the mail and your wishes.”  More updates are expected shortly after CAT 2017 group meeting. Committed academician and able administrator clubbed in one is what Prof Neeraj Dwivedi is, who may bring about more effective and aspirant friendly changes in CAT 2017 exam. It is very much possible that CAT 2017 test takers may find yet another improved and aspirant friendly CAT 2017 in the month of November/December 2017.

CAT 2017: More candidates expected to apply
Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 is the mandatory exam for admission to management programmes at IIMs and other top B schools in India in 2018. In CAT 2016  number of candidates who registered for the exam were 2.32 lakhs while the actual test takers were 1.95 lakhs. This number was increased from 2.19 lakhs and 1.80 lakhs respectively in 2015. CAT has been showing a systematic rising trend in number of registrations. It can therefore be anticipated that CAT 2017 may see yet higher number of registrations.

Besides, with the increased number of intake in IIMs and other B-schools, it is expected that more candidates may appear in CAT 2017.

CAT Convenership taken over from IIM Bangalore
CAT 2016 conducted by IIM Bangalore brought number of effective changes. The exam was convened by IIM Bangalore under the convenership of Dr Rajendra K. Bandi. Prior to that, IIM Ahmedabad conducted CAT 2015. The exam was totally revamped and restructured in 2015. In 2016 CAT followed the same pattern with a slight change in reduction of number of Non-MCQs from 28 to 25. IIM Lucknow is expected to bring about more changes in exam structure and pattern in CAT 2017.
