60 years legacy of XLRI-XAT as paper based test is broken with the announcement of Online XAT 2018 to be held on January 7, 2018 in 3½ hours duration. Online registration for XAT 2018 has been opened by XLRI, the XAT 2018 conducting institute on August 16 and will remain open till November 30 without late fee.
Releasing the XAT 2018 notification, XLRI has changed and revamped the XAT 2018 exam pattern from paper pen based to online computer based test. Sharing about the changed pattern of XAT 2018 exam XLRI has informed “Mode of Examination is Online.”
XAT 2018 will be conducted on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 10AM to 1.35PM. XLRI conducts XAT on behalf of the XAMI. For more than 60 years XLRI is conducting XAT in paper pen mode at all India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. The XAT score is being used by more than 150 institutes for the admission.

XAT 2018 Registration will be available at www.xatonline.net.in. You may also apply for institutions using XAT 2018 score for admission to their programmes.
XAT Registration till Nov 30
Registration process for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2018 has started on August 16, 2018 and will remain open till November 30, 2017 without any late fee.
XAT 2018 registration fee is Rs.1650/- if you apply by November 30.
Late registration allowed
XLRI, the XAT 2017 convening institute has also offered the facility of late registration till December 11, 2017 by making payment of late fee of additional Rs.350/-. Accordingly, if you propose to apply after November 30 for XAT 2018, you have to make payment of Rs.2000/- towards registration fee. Candidates interested in XLRI programmes needs to pay an additional fee of Rs. 500/- for each programme after the last date to apply.
Additional Fee to apply for XLRI programme
Candidates interested in XLRI programme(s) need to pay an additional fee of Rs.300/- each along with XAT 2018 registration fee of Rs.1650/-. However, candidates only interested in XAT but not in XLRI need to pay a fee of Rs. 1650/-(Rupees Sixteen Hundred only).
If you register after November 30, you will have to pay Rs. 500/- instead of Rs.300/-, in case you apply to XLRI programmes also.
Registration fee enhanced by more than half in 3 years
This year candidates going to register for XAT 2018 will have to pay a fee of Rs. 1650/- as against the fee of Rs.1500/- for XAT 2016, and Rs.1600/- for XAT 2017. During the 3 year period XLRI has increased the XAT registration and application fee from Rs.1000/- in 2015 to Rs.1650/- in 2018.
Online Registration Process
Registration process for XAT 2018 is online however the payment of registration fee can be made online or in cash or by demand draft.
Nov 30: Last date of Registration
Registration and application process to XAT 2018 will remain open till November 30, 2017 without late fee and till December 11, with late fee. The 3 months’ time is sufficient to register and apply for the exam.
XAT 2018: Eligibility
XAT 2018 aspirants must have recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Those completing their final graduation exam by June 10, 2018 may also apply. XAT 2018 is the mandatory exam for admission to member and associate B-schools for Indian candidates, the NRI and foreign candidates may apply through their valid GMAT scores.
Candidates in Dubai and Kathmandu have the option of appearing in XAT 2018 or applying through GMAT scores.
