CMAT 2018: Exam Notification release this week - confirms AICTE; keep your documents ready

CMAT 2018 exam notification for admission to MBA/PGDM 2018-20 batch in AICTE approved B-schools, will be released in a day or two but before this week end. Confirming the release of CMAT 2018 notificate release date to MBAUniverse.com, Dr. N. H. Siddalingaswamy, Director (e-Governance), All India Council for Technical Education informed last week Notification regarding CMAT 2018 & GPAT 2018 will be released next week.Notification will contain all the information regardingCMAT 2018 & GPAT 2018including Examination Dates.
AICTE will conduct Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) in the month of January 2018 as an online computer based exam in a single day & single session. CMAT is now a yearly test and is not held twice a year any longer.
Immediately with the release of CMAT 2018 notification by AICTE, the CMAT 2018 registration process will begin and will remain open till the second week of December 2017.
CMAT 2018 will remain an online exam for admission to AICTE approved MBA/ PGDM courses 2018-20 batch across the country. It is expected that there could be structural and content based changes in CMAT 2018.
Since the CMAT 2018 will remain valid for admission to AICTE approved management programmes in the academic year 2018-20, the candidates who are planning to explore admission opportunity in MBA/PGDM programmes in 2018 need to register and apply for CMAT 2018.
Earlier on October 5, AICTE Chairman Dr Anil Saharsabudhehad shared with MBAUniverse.com, CMAT (and GPAT) Advisory Committee Meeting is scheduled on October 6 & 7, 2017. Immediately after this meeting, Notification regarding CMAT 2018 (and GPAT 2018) will be released.
Accordingly, MBA aspirants planning to explore admission opportunity in AICTE approved MBA/PGDM programmes should get ready with their required documents to register and apply for CMAT 2018.
CMAT 2018: Eligibility Criteria
CMAT 2018 aims to select suitable students for admission in management programmes in 400 B-schools across the country. The CMAT 2018 registration process is online. The CMAT 2018 eligibility criteria require you to possess:
Applicant must be a citizen of India.
Graduates in any discipline can apply for CMAT exam.
Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2018-19 can also apply for CMAT online exam
Documents required to complete CMAT 2018 Registration
AICTE suggests the candidates to have the following ready before starting the CMAT registration process
A Computer with good Internet connectivity so that there is no breakage of Internet during registration
All your qualification details as you need to enter them while registering for CMAT 2018 exam
You need to upload your scanned photo while registering, hence keep ready a scanned clear photo of yours taken on a white background. The size of this photo should be 140 x 160 (60Kb)
You need to upload your scanned signature while registering, hence keep ready your scanned clear signature done on a white background. The size of this signature file should be 60 x 90 (30Kb)
A Valid e-mail id which you will be using at least for the next 6 months. All communication will be done on this e-mail id which you will enter while registering for CMAT exam
A Valid mobile number as all information via sms will be sent to this number
A valid Credit / Debit card in case you want to pay ONLINE
A Printer connected to your system as you will have to PRINT 3 copies of CHALLAN in case you are planning to pay by CASH at the bank
Although CMAT was conducted in a single day last year on January 28, 2017, the next day was kept a reserve day to face any eventuality in case the single day exam had some problem. It is expected that same process would be followed for CMAT 2018.
The details about CMAT 2018 registration fee including GST, registration dates, exam dates, result date will also be announced along with the CMAT 2018 notification release.
CMAT 2018 scores will be accepted by around 400+ B schools running the AICTE approved management programmes in India. It is the 2nd largest MBA/PGDM entrance test after CAT in the country. Management institutes affiliated to Universities in thirteen states of Chhatisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala,Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and other private B schools approved by AICTE accept the CMAT scores. Besides, all the Maharashtra state B-schools accept CMAT scores through their centralized admission process conducted by Government of Maharashtra.
