XLRI-XAT 2018 Registration closes today without late fee; know the eligibility, XAT exam pattern, fee and more

November 30, 2018 is the last date to apply for XLRI-XAT 2018 exam without paying additional late fee of Rs.350/-. XAT 2018 registration and application has to be submitted online with a payment of Rs.1650/- to be made online. After November 30, candidates applying for XAT 2018 will need to pay Rs.2000/- till December 15 which is the final closing date to apply for XAT 2018 with late fee also.

XAT is now computer based test
XAT 2018 will be held for the first time as an online computer based test on Sunday January 7, 2018 in a single session from 10AM to 1.35PM. XLRI who convenes XAT has no proposal to extend the last date any further.

All graduates irrespective of score eligible to apply
Unlike other MBA entrance exams which need minimum 50% marks in graduation, XAT 2018 has not imposed any such restriction. The XAT 2018 registration opened on August 16 has not fixed any minimum percentage of marks at bachelor’s degree to apply for the entrance exam or to XLRI Jamshedpur.

All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2018. However NRI and foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score (except Dubai and Kathmandu wherein candidates have an option of appearing for XAT 2018).’

XLRI-XAT 2018 is the important national level MBA entrance exam leading to admission in XLRI Jamshedpur, SPJIMR Mumbai, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI Manipal, XIM Bhubaneswar, Great Lakes Chennai, LIBA Chennai, BIMTECH Greater Noida among 150 other top B-schools in India.

Candidates scoring even low in XAT are awarded with high percentile. The biggest advantage of taking XAT 2018 will be that there are number of top B-schools who consider the scores of both CAT and XAT exams and unlike IIMs no rigid sectional cut offs in XAT are considered by the B-schools accepting XAT 2018 scores.

Apply to XLRI alongwith XAT 2018
If you wish to apply to XLRI Jamshedpur you have to pay Rs.300/- per programme as the application fee along with XAT 2018 registration fee by November 30 and Rs.500/- per programme after November 30 and till December 15, 2017.

A Provisional XAT ID and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional XAT ID and Password. XAT 2018 Exam pattern
This is the first time in more than 60 years history of XAT that the exam will be conducted as an online computer based test. Online XAT 2018 will be held in 3½ hours duration from 10AM to 1.35 PM.

XAT 2018 exam will be divided in two parts. The first part with 72 questions will have 3 sections on Verbal Ability & Logical reasoning; Decision Making; Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation. The score in this part will determine your percentile and merit position.

Part-2 will have 2 sections – General Awareness and Essay Writing Test. The scores in this part will not be taken into account to determine percentile score. Except Essay Writing all the sections will have questions in MCQ format.

XAT 2018 test takers will have to complete the first 3 sections of the first part of the MCQ exam namely Verbal and Logical Ability; Decision Making; Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation in 170 minutes while questions in General Knowledge section will have to be attempted in 10 minutes only. 25 minutes will separately be allotted for essay writing test.

XAT 2018 exam registration fee is Rs.1650/- till November 30. It will increase to Rs.2000/- from December 1 to December 15.

Additional fee to apply for admission to XLRI Jamshedpur is Rs.300/- for each programme till November 30. This fee will increase to Rs.500/- for each programme after November 30 and till December 15, after which the XAT 2018 registration and XLRI application process will close.

XLRI Jamshedpur offers PGDM (BM); PGDM (GM); PGDM (HRM); PGDM (Global BM) and others. If you miss the last date today and wish to apply for 4 PGDM programmes, you will incur a loss of Rs.800/- while applying for XLRI programme and Rs.350/- while applying for XAT 2018. In nutshell there will be a loss of Rs.1150/- if you apply after November 30. This amount could be well utilized while submitting application for CMAT 2018, MAT 2017 December or MAHCET 2018 exam.
