CAT 2017: 20 IIMs offer 50+ MBA, Executive & Fellow programmes with higher intake; know the cut offs

The 20 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will offer more than 50 management programmes including Fellow programmes from the academic session 2018-19. The intake in each programme is also expected to increase for the flagship 2 years PGP and other full time PGP programmes. More CAT 2017 test takers may get admission in IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Kozhikode, Indore and other IIMs with moderate CAT cut offs.

Except IIM Nagpur and IIM Visakhapatnam, all the other 5 newest IIMs will offer admission through CAP 2018. Out of 13 total new and newest IIMs, 11 will participate in Common Admission Process (CAP) 2018 and will offer admission to the candidates on the basis of WAT & PI scores and other parameters.

IIMs also offer various Executive programmes for working professionals, civil servants, policy makers. These programmes could be 1 year full time fast track or 2 years week end classes (part time) programmes.
IIM Bangalore PGPEM, PGPPM are the most favoured management programmes offering admission on the basis of CAT score for working professionals. Apart from these executive programmes, IIM Bangalore offers Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) and will shortlist the candidates on the basis of GMAT/GRE scores. Last date to apply for EPGP at IIM Bangalore is December 4, 2017 with an application fee of Rs.4500/-.

IIMs have cautioned Instances of any incorrect information or process violation detected at any stage of the selection process will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidate from the selection process and he/she will not be allowed to appear for CAT in future. Adding further, IIMs clarify, If such instances go undetected during the current selection process but are detected in subsequent years, such disqualification will take place with retrospective effect.

CAT 2017 exam was held on November 26, 2017 in slot-1 and slot-2 and was rated as an easy exam by the experts and candidates who appeared in the test. The CAT 2017 result is expected to be declared on January 7, 2018.
