MAHCET 2018: MBA Notification out; Registration opens today on Jan 22, Exam dates, pattern, syllabus out
MAHCET 2018 notification has been released with registration opening date as January 22, details on exam pattern, syllabus, exam dates and result date are also out. The registration will close on February 14, 2018.
MAH-CET 2018 exam notification for admission to 1st year of full time Post Graduate Degree in MBA/MMS courses 2018-20 batch has been released by DTE Maharashtra. MAH-CET 2018 registration and application opens today on January 22, and will close on February 14, 2018. The State Common Entrance Cell DTE Maharashtra has announced the MAHCET 2018 exam schedule which will be held on Match 10 & 11, 2018 across the country.

Announcing the entrance exam dates of MAH-MBA-CET 2018 for admission to MBA/MMS/ PGDM 2018-20 batch in 400+ B schools in Maharashtra, the State CET-Cell has issued the notification bearing ref no. CETCELL/MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2018 Notice-I/2018/82 dated 20-01-2018. DTE Maharashtra has taken care to issue the notification for Common Entrance Test 2018 in English Language.
MAHCET: Admission Regulating Authority Established
The Government of Maharashtra has established ADMISSIONS REGULATING AUTHORITY AND STATE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST CELL as per the provisions of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions & Fees) Act. 2015 (Mah. Act No. XXVIII of 2015). The Commissioner of State CET Cell is Competent Authority for conducting CETs.

MAHCET 2018: Registration opens on January 22
Online Registration for MAH-MBA CET 2018 through computer connected to Internet on the official web site has been opened on January 22, 2018. The registration process, according to the schedule announced by DTE Maharashtra will close on February 14, 2018. MAHCET 2018 Registration & Application form should be completed online and DTE Maharashtra will reject the registration form if it is submitted by post or courier.
MAHCET Registration & Application fee
Application form processing fees is to be paid through online system only by Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card payment gateway for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.
For Open category
Application fee for open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign Nationals / PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates is Rs.1000/- (Rs. One thousand only)
For Reserved category
Application fee for candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and & Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only is Rs.800/- (Rs. Eight hundred only)
Eligibility to apply
Applicant must be a citizen of India and must be a graduate with 3 years bachelors degree with 50% marks from a recognized university/institute. A candidate in the final year of bachelors degree can also apply.
Issue of MAHCET 2018 Admit Card: Feb 26 onwards
MAHCET Admit Card/Hall ticket will be issued through candidates login on website. The hall tickets will be issued only to the successfully registered candidates from February 26, 2018 onwards and will be available till the exam date.
No hard copy of the hall ticket is proposed to be sent to the candidates address. Aspirants shall have to download the hall ticket and will have to take the print of the same. Hall ticket will be the mandatory document to be carried to the test venue on the exam date.
MAHCET 2018 Syllabus
DTE Maharashtra has also announced the MAH CET 2018 syllabus for the exam. Section wise syllabus is shared below-
Logical and Abstract Reasoning
This shall include questions to measure how quickly and accurately you can think. The section may have questions based on figures and diagrams and also on Verbal Reasoning.
Quantitative Aptitude
This shall include questions to know how fast and accurate you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations, understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio & proportion, percentage etc. This test also helps to measure your power of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs & charts.
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
This shall include the passages with questions based on their contents to test your comprehension. Your English language ability would be tested through questions on Grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc.
Your English language ability would be tested through questions on-
(1) Understanding of the contents of the passages and
(2) Choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills.
MAHCET 2018: Exam pattern
MAHCET 2018 exam shall be conducted only in the online mode. The exam may be conducted in multiple sessions if required by Competent Authority, using standardized equi-percentile method to equate scores across sessions.
The exam will comprise multiple choice objective type questions in the areas of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical and Abstract Reasoning. In all there would be 200 questions to be answered in a total time of two and half hours.
MAHCET 2018: Result date
DTE Maharashtra proposes to declare the MAH-MBACET 2018 result on March 19, 2018.
MAHCET 2018 is the official gateway for admissions to all the AICTE approved, University, University affiliated and private aided or unaided B-schools in the State of Maharashtra including JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, K J Somaiya, among others. Approximately 50000 candidates are offered admission in the B-schools across Maharashtra on the basis of MAHCET scores.
15% to 35% seat allocation is available for All India candidates appearing in MAH-CET exam The candidates will also be offered admission on the basis of their scores in two All India MBA entrance exams - CAT 2017 and CMAT 2018.
MAH MBA-CET 2018 for admission to MBA/MMS in Maharashtra B schools offers a good opportunity for the candidates who wish to improve on their other MBA entrance exam scores.
