The number of MBA colleges in Maharashtra where admission process is open is more than 400 although many top MBA colleges in Mumbai, Pune have closed their admission process for PGDM/MBA 2018-20 batch. MBA/MMS admission 2018 process at JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA is to remain open till May 2018.

Although many top MBA colleges in Mumbai, Pune have closed their admission process for PGDM/MBA 2018-20 batch, hundreds of MBA colleges in Maharashtra will keep their MBA/MMS admission 2018 process open till May 2018.
In fact the MBA colleges under DTE Maharashtra accepting MAHCET 2018 score will keep their admission process open for MBA/MMS 2018-20 batch while the top MBA/PGDM colleges accepting other exam scores and having their own admission process have closed their admission process or are about to close it shortly.

Admission process on the basis of CAT 2017, MAHCET 2018 and CMAT 2018 is still open in other top MBA colleges like JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, K J Somaiya among 400 others for MBA/MMS programmes commencing 2018.
Basic condition to apply to the MBA colleges in Mumbai, Pune with low fee structure, is that you should have appeared at least in one of the three mandatory exams which are: CAT 2017, CMAT 2018, MAHCET 2018.
An important point to note is that although registration for MAHCET 2018 has been closed on February 17, but if you have already appeared in CAT 2017 or CMAT 2018 and have scored a good percentile, or are going to appear in MAHCET 2018 on March 10 or 11, you will get the opportunity to apply to 400 MBA colleges in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nagpur and rest of Maharashtra in May 2018 after declaration of MAHCET 2018 result on March 19, 2018.

Application Process & Programme Fee fixation
The opportunity of admission exists not only with the score of MAHCET 2018 but also with the score of CMAT 2018 and CAT 2017 exams in the top MBA colleges in Maharashtra for Maharashtra state as well as for All India category candidates.
The fee structure for MMS/MBA programmes which are run by the Department of management studies of various Universities in Maharashtra, by the institutes affiliated to these universities or for specific seats in Private B schools is decided by Shikshan Shulka Samiti of Maharasthtra Government. The fee is expected to be revised for admission 2018-19. Till then Interim fee is supposed to be charged. The fee for MMS 2018-20 is expected to be in the range of Rs.3 to 4 lakhs except that of JBIMS which has already increased its fee for MMS to Rs.6 lakhs.
Important guidelines to apply for admission
To apply for admission in JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA and other MBA/MMS colleges in Mumbai, Pune with low fee you need to participate in Centralized Admission process (CAP) 2018 to be conducted by DTE Maharashtra in the month of May/June 2018.
DTE Maharashtra will bring out a notification in the first/second week of May 2018 with the details how to apply for CAP round.
The candidates who have appeared in MAHCET 2018 may be given some waiver in application fee. But those who have not applied and appeared in MAHCET and wish to participate in CAP 2018 on the basis of their CAT 2017 or CMAT 2018 score, will have to pay full fee which may be Rs.2000/- to become eligible for CAP round.
Please note that only MAHCET 2018, CAT 2017 and CMAT 2018 score will be considered for admission and for participation in CAP 2018.
There are around 59000 MBA/MMS/PGDM seats in 400 MBA colleges in Maharashtra where admission process will remain open till the CAP 2018 dates are announced by DTE Maharashtra. All the MBA colleges in Maharashtra including JBIMS, SIMSREE among others have 15% reserved seats for All India candidates. The MBA admission opportunity can be well utilized in the changed scenario.
