XIMB Summer placement for 2017-19 batch: Stipend goes up to Rs.3 lakhs; 350 students participate
Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) has concluded the summer placement process for the MBA batch 2017-19 with the stipend going up as high as Rs.3 lakhs. MBA (BM) saw participation of 350 students being recruited by 106 companies while MBA (HRM) witnessed participation of 120 students getting placement offers by 44 companies.
Continuing the legacy of matching the aspirations of the students with elite organizations, Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB) has concluded the summer placement process for the MBA batch 2017-19 with the stipend going up as high as Rs.3 lakhs.

Despite the ever increasing competition, XIMB students have performed above par, garnering roles from numerous premier organizations and continuing to build on the trust that corporate India bestows on XIMB.
Highlights:
Summers 17 saw the batch of 350 candidates participating in the placement process
106 companies participated, out of which 63 were new recruiters
The highest stipend stood at Rs. 3 Lakhs
The average stipend stood at Rs. 61,000
The median stipend stood at Rs. 40,000
The top regular recruiters include CBC, Deloitte, EY, ICICI Bank, L&T, PwC, TCS, Tata Steel among others who strengthened their relationship with XIMB.
New recruiters include Wildcraft, Royal Enfield, Microland, Bajaj Auto, Philips Lighting, Britannia Industries, Yes Bank, Titan, Reliance Industries, SBI Life among others.
Growing number of new recruiters is a testament to the growing brand equity of XIMB.
Marketing: 45% share in Placement
The Marketing area lived up to its ever rising expectations with recruiters like LOreal, Godrej, Emami, Nestle, Bajaj Auto, Philips Lighting, Tata Steel, Wildcraft, Boston Scientific, Britannia
Industries, Royal Enfield, BPCL, Titan, Reliance Industries, Hero MotoCorp and many more, making their presence felt by recruiting 45% of the students.
Consulting: 16% share in placement
The Consulting area was among the preferred profiles for most students, 16% of the students being recruited in the field for Management and Strategy Consulting. Deloitte, Cognizant, PwC, United Health Group, EY, etc. were some of the major recruiters that strengthened their bonds with the institute.
Finance: 15% share in Placement
In the Finance stream, lucrative jobs were offered to the students by major financial corporates like HSBC, HSBC IB, ICRA, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, L&T Fin, Yes Bank, CRISIL, Reserve Bank of India, SBI Life and many more, echoing the strong belief of the industry in the financial intellect of the students of XIMB by recruiting 15% of the students for roles in Risk Advisory, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Wealth Management and Credit Analysis.
Systems: 10% share in Placement
The Systems sector had major recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Tiger Analytics, Capgemini, Microland, Brillio etc., which offered diversified roles in the IT sector to the young thought leaders of XIMB and recruited 10% of the students.
Others
General Management, Strategy and Operations also witnessed a rise in recruitments. Renowned conglomerates like Larsen & Toubro and companies like Tata Steel, Future Supply Chain and Future Generali offered lucrative profiles to the young and dynamic managers of XIMB.

MBA (Human Resource Management) 2017 - 19 batch witnesses Indias rapidly changing economy that brings with it a plethora of challenges for the People Managers of tomorrow. XUB, through its MBA (HRM) program under the Xavier School of Human Resources, earlier XIMB, is positioned in cultivating essential functional skills.

The Industrial Relations area lived up to its ever rising expectations with prominent recruiters like Bajaj Auto, BPCL, L&T, ACG Worldwide, Vedanta, Tata Steel among others, extending offers to the students.
Corporate HR roles were offered by leading organizations like Deloitte, Wipro Technologies, Apollo Munich Life Insurance, Puma, CBC, L&T Finance, FEDCO, Future Supply Chain Solutions and Future Generali Life Insurance.
