FMS Delhi in search of right candidate for admission 2018: 5 Key skills you need to crack PI round

FMS Delhi has revamped its admission policy and for MBA admission 2018, it has not only reduced the weightage to CAT exam score but has also included the GD round in final selection process with good weightage.
The undisputed high RoI MBA college in India, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) University of Delhi will commence the GD-PI-Extempore round for MBA admission 2018 on April 16. The final selection round at FMS Delhi will be over on April 23, 2018 and going by the past trends FMS is expected to declare the final result for admission to MBA 2018-20 batch in the evening on April 23.

Right candidate for FMS Admission
Now the right candidate for FMS Delhi is no longer the one with merely overall high score in CAT, for admission 2018 in FMS Delhi, excellent academics, skills to present better in GD, Extempore and PI round have replaced the earlier high overall CAT percentile score requirement. You now need a different skill set to get through the final selection round at FMS Delhi. In fact, the award of varying weightage to sectional scores in CAT has left many CAT high percentilers being placed at lower merit position than the candidates who scored comparatively lower percentile in CAT exam.

The revamped Personal Interview round this year has reduced the CAT score weightage to 60%, included Group Discussion with a weightage of 10%, extempore speech with a weightage of 5% and Personal Interview at a weightage of 15%.

There are 2161 candidates who have been shortlisted for Group Discussion, Extempore and PI round for admission to 220 MBA seats at Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. So there is a ratio of 1:10 candidates for each seat at FMS Delhi.

The CAT 2017 score cut off despite being high in the 1st stage shortlisting has slightly gone down and more candidates have found place in the shortlist announced by FMS Delhi. Category wise PI schedule at FMS Delhi
The 1st batch attending the GD, Extempore & PI process at faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi need to report at 8.30AM on April 16, 2018 at FMS Delhi. The PI round is divided in 4 sessions on each day.
