On Sunday, January 6, 2013, the Xavier Entrance Test (XAT) 2013 raised the heart beat of more than 90,000 students with trickier and lengthier questions and different pattern of exam marking scheme. MBAUniverse.com, in this article, presents a detailed analysis of XAT 2013.
Let us first give you a birds eye view of the paper.
The paper was divided into two sections, each with different scoring sheets. The first part had multiple-choice questions for three sections Verbal Ability, Decision Making & Quantitative Aptitude. The time allotted for it was 2:20 hours. The second part had essay writing and General Awareness questions and time stipulated for it was only 40 minutes.
Last years paper did not have any questions on business and general awareness. Unlike the last year, where every section had a different marking scheme, this year, each question carried 1 mark. This made life a bit simpler for test takers.
According to MBAUniverse.com experts, the overall paper this year can be called as moderate to tough and very analytical in nature. Also, the paper was lengthier than CAT.
