The stage is set for 4thIndian Management Conclave 2013, Indias biggest MBA Educators conference. Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr Shashi Tharoor will address 4thIndian Management Conclave (IMC) and give away 1stIMC Awards 2013 to winners onAugust 3in New Delhi.
Dr Tharoor will be the Guest of Honour and Valedictory Speaker at the Indian Management Conclave onAugust 3. The HRD Minister will present 1st IMC Awards to the winners onAugust 3at the IMC Valedictory Session. A UN diplomat for about three decades beginning 1978, Dr Tharoor carried key responsibilities in peace-keeping after the Cold War and also worked as a senior adviser to the UN Secretary-General. In January 1998, Dr. Tharoor was named a Global Leader ofTomorrow by the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The awards winning author of 13 titles, Dr Tharoor is the recipient of several other awards including a Commonwealth Writers Prize and Indias highest honour for Overseas Indians, the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, in 2004. Presently, Dr Tharoor is the Member-Convener of the Parliamentary Forum on Disaster Management, and a member of the Standing Committee on External Affairs, the Consultative Committee on Defence, the Public Accounts Committee and the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Telecoms. The 1st IMC Awards 2013, held in conjunction with 4th IMC, will highlight ideas that some of the B-schools have adapted by changing landscape, updating their curriculum, placement efforts, and adding a lot more strength to their marketing plans. A selected set of 12 IMC Awards 2013 finalists will showcase their innovative ideas and unique initiatives through case-study presentations at Indian Management Conclave (IMC) to be held onAugust 2-3, 2013in New Delhi.
4thIndian Management Conclave (IMC) Key Highlights Based on the theme Enhancing value of MBA, IMC 2013 will bring forth the possible solutions to the management education crises like miss-match in demand & supply of MBA seats, policy conundrum, lack of employability of MBA graduates, and inadequate focus on core-product that have eroded credibility of the MBA education.
Dr S.S Mantha, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education, (AICTE) & Mr Vineet Nayar, Vice Chairman, HCL will deliver keynote address during the IMC conference.
Top CXOs, global & Indian academic thought leaders, Policymakers, IMC Award finalist B-schools, and international accreditation agencies will share their insight on enhancing value to management education in India at the biggest annual gathering of MBA Educators on Aug 2-3.
As a country partner of 4th Indian Management Conclave 2013 to be held on2-3 August, Canadian High Commissioner Mr Stewart Beck will host a special dinner for the speakers and special invitees of the annual MBA Educators Conclave.
The distinguished global thought leaders who will address IMC 2013 include Dr Michael Luger, Director, Manchester Business School, UK; Dr Zhou Lin, Dean, ACEM, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai; and Dr Rajendra K Srivastava, Deputy President, Singapore Management University amongst others.
