The Online Common Entrance test (MAH MBA/MMS CET 2014) will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2014 and Sunday, March 16, 2014. Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai has announced the exam date for MAH CET 2014 for Admission to First Year MBA/MMS for 2014-2015 in Maharashtra.

Candidates seeking admission to AICTE approved first year of two years full time post graduate degree courses in MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM for the year 2014-15 in Maharashtra state have to give MAH-MBA / MMS-CET 2014.

According to a notification released by DTE, 85% seats in the government run and aided MBA /MMS institutes in the state and 65% seats at private unaided and minority institutes will be filled through the MAH-MBA / MMS-CET from 2014. Another 15% seats will be filled through the nationally recognized tests, such as the CAT, JMET, MAT, XAT and ATMA. Students who appear for the CMAT will now be allotted seats at institutes in the state through the all India quota, the notification said.

MAH CET 2014 Paper pattern and Content
As per the notification issued by DTE Maharashtra, MAH CET 2014 exam pattern will be held in a paper pencil based format.
The MAH CET 2014 comprises multiple choice objective type questions in the areas of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical / Abstract Reasoning. In all there would be 200 questions to be answered in a total time of two and half hours i.e. 150 minutes

Total Time allotted : 150 minutes
No. of Choices per question: 5 choices
Negative Marks: No negative marking
Number of Sections: No sections jumbled paper

MAH CET 2014: Contents of the Test of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
This is a test to see how well you know English language. In this test there will be passages with questions based on their contents to test your comprehension. Your English Language ability would be tested through questions on grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc. Your English language ability would be tested through questions on (1) understanding of the contents of the passage and (2) choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills.

MAH CET 2014: Contents of the Test of Quantitative Aptitude
This test helps to know how fast and accurate you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio and proportion, percentage, etc. This test also helps to measure your power of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs and charts.
MAH CET 2014: Contents of the Test of Logical / Abstract Reasoning
This test measures how quickly and accurately you can think. This test may have questions based on figures and diagrams and also questions on verbal reasoning.
