Candidates seeking admission to IIM Rohtak and hopeful of getting shortlisted on lower cut off ground must also find out their eligibility as per the weightages accorded to academic record, work experience, gender and subject diversity
The short listing procedure for Rohtak is different, and hence the cut-off for Rohtak might vary slightly

Common Admission Process meant for six newer IIMs will begin after the declaration of shortlists on January 25, 2014. “The short listing procedure for Rohtak is different, and hence the cut-off for Rohtak might vary slightly” says Prof Hari Shree Kumar, Chairperson(Admissions) IIM Trichy that will be coordinating the admission process 2014 for all the six new IIMs viz. Kashipur, Raipur, Tiruchirappalli, Ranchi  Rohtak and Udaipur,

It may sound to be a very good news for admission seekers with less than 90 percentile in CAT 2013 as IIM Rohtak in its admission policy 2014 has announced slightly lower threshold cut off at 85 percentile as against other IIMs’ policy of 96+ percentile for admission 2014 final round. Besides IIM Rohtak has announced to have a batch size of 150-160 students in 2014-16 batch while IIM Trichy proposes to have 110 students.

Candidates seeking admission to IIM Rohtak and hopeful of getting shortlisted on lower cut off ground must also find out their eligibility as per the weightages accorded to academic record, work experience, gender and subject diversity

IIM Rohtak Process for short listing

IIM Trichy coordinating the Personal Appearance (PA) process 2014 for six new IIMs, will call candidates 12 times of the proposed intake. Only candidates meeting the cut-off criteria listed in CAT 2013 component scores in respective categories will be considered for short listing. More important is the fact that only candidates meeting the cut-off criteria listed in qualification cut off, for X, XII and Under-Graduate (UG) reported marks in respective categories will be considered for the short listing in final admission round.

The Personal Appearance Process

The eligible candidates will be ranked on the basis of their actual Grand Total Score and top specified number will be called for the PA process above a required percentile.
The PA process will be composed of Personal Interview (PI) and Written Analysis (WA) as well as any other
component to be decided, and (d) preparing the Final Selection List (FSL) based on CAT score, PA score and profile score including Work Experience (WE) score as assessed during the PA process, score for Past Academic Performance (PAP) and any other criterion included.  Group discussion has not so far been included in PA process.

 Final Short listing for admission

IIM Rohtak will assign a weight of 50% to CAT Total Score (Scaled to 100), PI and WAT 30; and 20 to WE, PAP and any other component that may be included. Minimum cut off may be applied to PA components.

Venues for PI & WAT

The Personal Interview and Written Analysis Test would be conducted at New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. The exact date for PI & WAT will be communicated to the short listed candidates.

In cases where candidates have been shortlisted by the six new IIMs as well as older IIMs, IIM Trichy may collect the PI & WAT scores directly from the older IIMs. Such candidates will be informed in advance, and they need not appear for IIM Trichy’s PI & WAT.
