One of the big recent trends in Indian MBA education is the rise of Private University MBA programs. Unlike US, where all the top MBA programs are offered by University based B-schools like Harvard Business School and Chicago Booth School of Business, in India, stand-alone B-schools like IIMs, XLRI and SPJain have dominated Top rankings charts. NMIMS University and Symbiosis University are two notable exceptions. But this scenario is changing now. Leading Private University B Schools

Some of the leading private universities offering MBA courses are Mumbai based Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai; Pune based Symbiosis University, which has 13 B-schools SIBM and SCMHRD and Ahmedabad based NIRMA University. MBA Admissions 2014 to these are unfortunately closed. For example, NMIMS informed MBAUniverse.com recently that the Cut-off for this year has been declared as 94.7% and out of 63106 candidates appeared, 2289 have been shortlisted for Personal Interview round.
