IMC14 at IIC New Delhi to be held on Aug 8 & 9; 40 speakers from 10 countries to address
The 5th edition of Indian Management Conclave (IMC), Indias biggest Management education conclave is to be held on Aug 8 & 9 in New Delhi
Recognized as Indias biggest & the best MBA education conference, the 5th edition of Indian Management Conclave (IMC) begins today, on Aug 8 and will conclude with the presentation of 2nd IMC awards in the evening on Aug 9, 2014, at India International Centre(IIC), New Delhi on the theme Envisioning the Future. The conclave will see the participation of best minds from India and abroad to discuss the conference theme. 40 speakers from 10 countries will address the conclave being attended by more than 300 educators, deans, directors and other distinguished delegates.
IMC 2014 will draw on the rich experience of global thought-leaders in MBA education to shed light on possible future directions of Indian MBA education.
According to Mr Amit Agnihotri, Convener of IMC 2014 IMC started its journey in 2010 -- to provide a platform for discussion on the challenges we faced. The first three conclaves were primarily devoted to understanding the malady. Since 2013, having discussed the problems and challenges in great detail, we have shifted our focus on finding solutions to the challenges.
Inaugural session will have Key note speaker Dr Ricardo A. Lim, Dean, Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Manila & Chairman, Philippine Academy of Management (PAoM); Special addresses will be from Mr Pradeep Singh, Deputy Dean, Indian School of Business (ISB) & CEO, Mohali Campus; Dr Madhukar Angur, Chancellor, Alliance University, Bangalore; Dr David M. French Distinguished Professor, School of Management, University of Michigan, USA
On the occasion, Vision 2025 for Indian Management Education document will be presented by Dr H Chaturvedi, Alternate President, Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI) & Director, BIMTECH & Mr Amit Agnihotri, Convener, Indian Management Conclave (IMC 2014)
Other key note speakers at IMC 2014 include Management Guru Dr Howard Thomas, Dean, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University, Singapore; Dr Ashish Nanda, Director, IIM Ahmedabad ; Dr Robert Kennedy, Dean, Ivey Business School, Canada; Dr Pankaj Ghemawat, Professorof Strategic Management, Anselmo Rubiralta Chair of Strategy and Globalization, IESE Business School, Spain; Dr SS Mantha, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi
Two days conclave will see mind storming sessions, works shops, case studies and will envision the future of MBA education. Speaking on the occasion Mr Amit Agnihotri, convenor of IMC 2014 says Towards building a consensus for the Future, at this 2014 conference, EPSI & MBAUniverse.com are releasing a discussion-paper titled Vision 2025 for Indian Management Education. Based on the inputs from various International and national speakers and participations at the conference, this discussion paper will be finalized as EPSI-MBAUnivese.com Vision 2025 for Indian Management Education, and will be shared with Ministry of HRD and other stakeholders by August 25.
Closing key note address will be delivered by Shri Sunil Kant Munjal,Jt. Managing Director, Hero MotoCorp. Valedictory session will be addressed by Dr Subramanian Swamy, Former Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Senior BJP Leader.
