MAH CET 2015 Result to be Out today: Anxiety in Exam takers; DTE notifies no change in schedule

Keeping their fingers crossed for the positive outcome of MAH CET 2015 result expected to be declared today, 57012 MBA/MMS aspirants who appeared in MAH CET 2015 on March 14 & 15, 2015 are anxiously waiting for their scores. Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has not notified any change in the scheduled date of declaration of MAH CET 2015 result which is supposed to be declared today on March 25, 2015 for admission to MBA/MMS 2015-17 in Maharashtra B schools.

Result expected in a few hours

In absence of any recent update from DTE, it is very much expected that MAH CET 2015 result would be declared by evening today on March 25, 2015. The agonizing wait may be over in a few hours from now.

Top Maharashtra B schools waiting

Admission opportunities in top rated B schools like JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya, NL Dalmiya, PUMBA, Singhad, IESMCRC, Durga Devi Saraf, Kohinoor, DY Patil can be explored for MBA/ MMS batch 2015-17 only after declaration of MAH CET 2015 results.

While JBIMS Mumbai as an autonomous B school closed its own admission application process to flagship MMS/MSc (Finance) programmes on Jan 5, 2015, the admission in other Maharashtra B schools will be through Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Result to be based on Standardized Equi Percnetile

Since 59 questions have not been evaluated in MAH CET 2015 exam the result would be declared using standardized equi-percentile method. DTE Maharashtra shared this information vide its notification dated March 20, 2015.

DTE Maharashtra has already notified the date of declaration of MAH CET 2015 result as March 25, 2015, it can be assumed that the result could be declared on pre announced date.

MAHCET 2015: A bit unplanned; all done in a month

DTE Maharashtra has been moving a bit slow and unplanned in updating its site on various notifications and changes as well as conducting MAH CET 2015 as compared to its systematic and well planned process in conduct of MAHCET 2014.

It is evident from the fact that MAH CET 2015 aspirants were not even granted 15 days to register and apply, sample paper provided initially by DTE Maharashtra had only 20 practice questions compared to 90+ practice questions provided well before the MAHCET 2014 test. The exam was held within 15 days from the closing date of application process for MAHCET 2015. DTE has not yet been able to announce the dates for different rounds of Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Candidates are still in dark.

59 questions not evaluated

There were almost negligible technical and question paper errors in MAHCET 2014 whereas DTE Maharashtra has confirmed that there were 59 questions in MAH CET 2015 which had problems like wrong questions and answer options, test at some centres had to be rescheduled due to technical glitches.

Test takers remained in dilemma whether Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra would take cognizance of these problems and would solve them so that no injustice is done to MAH CET 2015 takers. Candidates chose to meet the Director of DTE Dr Subhash Mahajan who formed 2 committees to examine this issue and confirmed that the questions with errors would not be evaluated. It gave a sigh of relief to MAH CET 2015 takers to some extent although in their view more such questions existed in the test. Besides number of MAHCET takers found that intermittently their system either stopped working or went very slow while the clock continued ticking on its pace. But probably, DTE Maharashtra has not considered this fact in the evaluation process.

Rely on DTE

MAH CET 2015 takers have no option but to reply upon the commitment of DTE Maharashtra to declare the result on March 25, 2015. The anxious wait could be over by evening today in case nothing otherwise is notified by DTE Maharashtra.

Other exam scores acceptable

While All India Non Maharashtra candidates will be considered on the basis of their scores in CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA along with MAH CET scores, Maharashtra state candidates will have the opportunity to be considered both as state level and All India Level candidates depending upon their choice opted while filling in the form and appearance in All India tests.
