Weigh your MBA admission decision taking into account all the pros & cons. Staying back for one full year planning on NO admission in 2016 may cost you a lot. On the other hand it is also very difficult to take admission and prepare again for your MBA entrance exam since life at a management college gets tough right from the semester-1. Unless and until you are absolutely sure of getting the other desired top rated B school in 2017, it may not be advisable to invest one more precious year of your life in preparation. There are instances that the candidates with even 99 percentile in CAT could not get a call from any older IIM.
Hence, if you wish to go for MBA in 2016, it is not advisable to linger on the process as not applying on time might result in missing a good MBA option in 2016.
