IMT Ghaziabad gets coveted AACSB Accreditation

IMT Ghaziabad has joined the group of elite B-schools who are accredited by global accreditation bodyAssociation of Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). IMT announced this development on April 14. Only three Indian B-schools, namely IIM Calcutta, ISB, and TAPMI, were previously accredited by AACSB in India. Only 5% or 755 B-schools in the world are accredited by AACSB in its 100 years of history. AACSB accreditation is expected to pave way for greater internationalization at IMT Ghaziabad.

Sharing the benefits of AACSB Accreditation, Dr Atish Chattopadhyay, Director, IMT Ghaziabad saidAACSB Accreditation will help IMT in expanding its global footprints by connecting IMT with the global markets for admissions, placements, faculty recruitment and partnerships. It will also open new vistas for faculty and students of IMT to demonstrate their relevance and impact on business and society in the global context.
According to IMT, AACSB has granted accreditation to all the business programs offered by IMT Ghaziabad which include two-year PGDM (Full-time), two-year PGDM (Dual Country Program), 15 month full-time PGDM (Executive) and three-year PGDM (Part-time).

According to ProfSurinder Batra, Dean-Academics, and Prof. Rashmi Aggarwal, Program Chairperson-PGDM at IMT Ghaziabad, AACSB accreditation will prepare the base for IMT faculty to take their intellectual contribution to the global audience in a more meaningful manner. It will sharpen the focus on relevance and impact of practice oriented research at IMT Ghaziabad. It will also help IMT Ghaziabad to attract international faculty of repute to its fold. The accreditation will facilitate IMT Ghaziabad to partner with international top rated institutes particularly in the area of executive education to bring in global best practices into the system.

Established in 1916, AACSB International provides its members with a variety of services to assist them with the continuous improvement of their business programs and schools.In 2013, AACSB International announced its new accreditation standards that focus on Innovation, Engagement, and Impact in management education. The AACSB Accreditation Standards challenge schools to pursue excellence and continuous improvement throughout their business programs.
