6.1 Step-1: Appear in Acceptable Entrance Exams

• Candidate should have taken at least one exam out of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/ MH-CET or own entrance test of SBUP –SBEST.
• MAT exams held in Sep 2023 to Mar 2024 will be considered for admission to the academic year 2024-26.
• In case the candidate has not appeared and does not have an Entrance exam score or would like to improve score can opt for Sri Balaji Entrance and Screening Test (SBEST).

6.1.1 SBEST: SBUP Own Entrance Test

• Sri Balaji Entrance Screening Test (SBEST) is an entrance exam conducted by Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP) for MBA admission.
• The Additional Entrance Exam fee of Rs.490 has to be paid to appear in SBEST
• The entrance exam is optional in nature.
• Students should take SBEST exam if they did not appear for CAT /MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAH-CET or,
• If they wish to improve the scores of the above-mentioned exams attempted

6.2 Step-2: Sri Balaji MBA Admission Selection Process
Sri Balaji MBA Admission selection process comprises GD, PI to assess the qualities and skill set of the applicants. However, there could be some changes in the admission process due to prevailing Covid pandemic situation. Key highlights of the final selection components are:

• Entrance Examination: SBUP accepts CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/MAH-CET scores, held from August 2023 to March 2024.
• Group Discussion: A group discussion will be conducted for a duration of 30-45 minutes per group where a panel of judges will assess the suitability of the candidates. This may include role play, case studies and extempore speech.
• Essay Writing Test: Essay Writing as an integral part of the interview process. Written Communication Skill is very important for anyone to succeed in the industry. Therefore, the applicants will be required to appear for an essay writing exercise on a subject, which will be given on the spot in the selection centres. This will be for 30 marks and fifty percent of the marks will be counted. This essay writing will be for half an hour. The topics will be general in nature and anyone who follows the National Newspapers can easily appear for the same and score good marks.
• Personal Interview: This expert panel interview will assess the candidates on various parameters including the suitability of the candidate for a particular specialization

6.2.1 Sri Balaji University MBA Cut-off
Sri Balaji University MBA cut off is not defined for shortlisting the candidates for MBA 2024 admission, as SBUP believes that true talent cannot be judged on the basis of the score granted by any entrance exam. Accordingly, Sri Balaji University has no cut-off score. Candidates with positive score in entrance exam can apply for SBUP MBA Admission 2024. However, a weightage of 35% is awarded to the MBA entrance exam in final selection process.

7. How to Apply and Submit Sri Balaji MBA Admission Application Form?

• Applicants fulfilling the eligibility criteria of SBUP should apply online.
• Complete the Sri Balaji MBA admission application form, pay the application fee and submit
• The common application form for all the four management institutes of Sri Balaji University, Pune, can be submitted online or offline with an application fee of INR 1000/-
• In case a student plans to opt for SBEST then the additional fee of 490/- will be charged.
• Appearing for SBEST in not mandatory for the candidates who have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/MAH-CET scores
  The successful payment of the application fee is followed by the issuing of a registration number. The subsequent admission process such as GD, PI & WAT will be communicated via Student's Dashboard/Email
• The test scores don't need to be attached to the application form at this stage.
• SBUP does not believe in any cut-off points as its gives only 35% of the weightage for the entrance examination while making the merit list

• Any graduate from UGC recognized university with minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
• Students currently in the final year of their graduation and expected to secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks may also apply for the PGDM courses. Admission committee may give more weightage to higher marks in graduation
• For joining the Executive Batch, the applicant should have a minimum of 2 years industry experience, as a full-time employee in a Company
