CAT 2018 Result Out: 11 Score 100%ile; Download your CAT Score Card from iimcat.ac.in

CAT 2018 Result declared by IIM Calcutta at 10 AM on January 5, 2019 for 2,09,405 test takers who appeared in CAT 2018 on November 25, 2018 in slot 1 and slot-2 had 11 CAT toppers with 100 percentile. Immediately following the CAT 2018 result declaration, IIM Calcutta has announced its shortlist of 1990 candidates for PI-WAT round. Along with the CAT result for MBA admission 2019 in IIMs and other top B-schools, IIM Calcutta has released the CAT 2018 Score Card on its official website. Candidates have to login with their CAT Id on CAT website to download their CAT 2018 score card. On the official CAT website IIM Calcutta placed the announcement at 10 AM ‘CAT 2018 Score Card is Live and available for download’  
 

CAT 2018 Result: Key Highlights

• 11 Students scored 100 Percentile in CAT 2018
• 7 out of 11 toppers are from Maharashtra, 2 from West Bengal, 1 each from Karnataka and Bihar
• No candidate from Delhi NCR scored 100 percentile
• No Female this year has scored 100 percentile
• All the 100 percentilers are male and are from Engineering back ground
• 21 candidates have score 99.99 percentile
• 2,09,405 candidates appear in CAT 2018 on November 25, 2018
• 1,36,075 Male candidates and 73326 women candidates appeared in CAT 2018

CAT score card 2018 will be available for download till December 31, 2019. Only those candidates who have taken the Common Admission Test (CAT 2018) are entitled to receive the CAT score card. 

How to Download CAT Score Card in 3 Steps
To download CAT 2018 score card following 3 steps were required to check CAT 2018 Results as well as CAT 2018 Rank Card:

• Step-1: Visit CAT website and click on CAT 2018 score card
• Step-2: Enter your CAT 2018 login id and password at ‘Login For Score Card CAT 2018’ window on official CAT website official
• Step-3: CAT 2018 score card with sectional and overall scores and percentile is visible now.

CAT Result 2018: Score Card Available Now
Following scores are available in CAT 2018 Score card which is live on official CAT website with CAT login id for the candidates who actually appeared in CAT 2018 exam on November 25, 2018 in slot-1 or slot-2.  

• Section-1: Verbal – Scaled score and Percentile
• Section-2: DILR – Scaled score and Percentile
• Section-3: Quant – Scaled score and Percentile
• Overall: Scaled score and Percentile

CAT Toppers 2018 
In all there are 11 candidates who have scored 100 percentile in CAT 2018. A total of 21 candidates have scored an overall 99.99 percentiles in CAT 2018. Out of them, 19 candidates are from engineering or technology background. Besides, among these toppers, Seven students from Maharashtra have secured 100 percentile; two from West Bengal and one each from Karnataka and Bihar. There is no candidate from Delhi NCR with 100 percentile in CAT 2018. However, twin brothers studying at IIT Delhi - Anubhav and Abhishek have secured an equal score of 99.9 percentile

Now that you know your CAT 2018 Score, check your options below for utilizing your CAT 2018 scores.

1. IIM Ahmedabad: At a Sectional score of 70+ and overall score of 98+, expect a call from IIM Ahmedabad. If you have academic diversity, expect a call from IIMA at sectional percentile score of 70+ and overall percentile of 85+
2. IIM Bangalore: At a sectional score of 85 and overall score of 97, expect a call from IIM Bangalore. Rider is that your excellent academics play a key role in shortlisting
3. IIM Calcutta: If your score card has 80+ sectional percentile and 98 overall percentile and you have good academics above 90% marks, expect call from IIM Calcutta
4. IIM Lucknow: A sectional percentile of 80+ and overall percentile of 97+ with excellent academics added with work experience can sure get you a call from IIM Lucknow. Weightage to CAT cut off is low at IIM Lucknow

Apart from IIMs, More than 100 MBA colleges will offer MBA admission 2019 on the basis of CAT 2018 scores. Prominent among them are FMS Delhi, IITs, SPJIMR Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, IMI New Delhi, IMT Ghaziabad, NITIE Mumbai among others. CAT 2018 Result: Key Points to Note  

• Overall scaled score in CAT 2018 score card is the sum of your sectional scaled scores of all the three sections
• CAT Score Card 2018 does not contain raw scores obtained in CAT 2018 exam – either sectional or overall
• Percentile refers to the percentage of candidates who receive score less than or equal to the score obtained by the candidate
• CAT 2018 score is available for download from official CAT website till December 31, 2019. Besides the CAT score card 2018 is valid also only until 31st December 2019
• CAT score card validity is subject to the candidate meeting the minimum eligibility marks in the qualifying examination.
• Keep a print-out of CAT 2018 score card for your information and for MBA admission process 2019 in the B-schools.
• You will not receive the CAT score card by email or by post.
• IIMs and Non-IIM member institutions will independently decide how to use CAT 2018 scores in line with their own admission and selection process.
• CAT 2018 scores are to be used for selecting the candidates to their respective Post Graduate / Fellow Programme in Management

CAT Test Takers’ Objections Not Found Valid
Prior to release of CAT 2018 Result and CAT 2018 score card, the CAT Centre 2018 found all the objections raised by the candidates on answer keys to various questions not valid and did not change any answer key. As such no candidate who appeared in CAT 2018 and raised objection due to faulty answer keys, have been awarded any benefit of score increase in CAT. An important announcement released by IIM Calcutta to this effect on official CAT 2018 website reads, “The objections received against questions in CAT 2018 were carefully examined by the expert panels. Those candidates who had raised objections will receive individual responses to their respective objections over their registered email ID.The answer key remains unchanged after careful examination of the various objections that had been received and examined by the expert panels.”
