CAT Test Centre Code: CAT 2025 Exam Centre and Slot Details Leaked? Aspirants Voice Concerns Over Process Irregularities, Delays

Before we discuss this CAT 2025 exam centre and slots leak, here is a quick background. 

IIM Kozhikode Delays CAT Admit Card Release 
CAT Exam Admit Card 2025 was supposed to be released by IIM Kozhikode on November 5, 2025 on the CAT official website. However, CAT 2025 Admit Card has been delayed. Now the CAT 2025 admit card will be released on November 12, 2025. CAT 2025 registration numbers have dropped by 10 percent or by 33,000 candidates compared to last year. MBAUniverse.com broke this news on evening of November 3, and the information was updated on CAT official website on November 4, 2025. 

CAT Test Centre Code: CAT 2025 Exam Centre Details Leaked
Even as everyone was waiting for admit card release on Nov 12, a social media post on November 5 created a flutter. This was followed by a Youtuber who irresponsibility claimed that “IIM Kozhikode has released the list of CAT exam centres and slots of all the candidates taking the CAT exam”. 

Both social media post and youtuber asked candidates to login to CAT official website and download their CAT exam centre details. But there was a catch! We will come to it in a minute. Candidate were asked to follow these steps to check CAT exam centre code and exam centre address:

1. Logon to official CAT 2025 Website www.iimcat.ac.in
2. Click on Candidate Login link and enter User ID and Password
3. Download “Application View PDF” document. This contains CAT application form details and CAT exam centre code, which is given at the end of the document.
4. Check Eform TC Code: This is CAT Centre Code, which is a four digit number.
5. Check Eform Exam Shift: This is CAT 2025 exam shift. It shows Shift1 or Shift2 or Shift3.

After giving this information, candidates were asked to check their CAT exam centre on Google by Typing “TCS IDZ Centre + Number”. This CAT test centre code was supposed to show the CAT exam centre corresponding to the given centre number in TCS Ion Digital Zone, where CAT exams are held. 

But sadly, after checking their “Eform TC Code”, most candidate were not able to find or verify their CAT exam centre. Some candidates found random pages on internet from old exams where these centres were used, but no official list of CAT exam centres by test centres codes given on the documents they downloaded. No matching information is available on CAT official website or TCS ION website, who is conducting CAT 2025. 

This has triggered significant criticism from MBA aspirants on social media, with many accusing the IIMs of mismanagement and poor communication.

Aspirants Voice Concerns Over Process Irregularities, Delays 
As after checking their “Eform TC Code”, most candidate were not able to find or verify their CAT exam centre, they have started venting out their frustration on social media, calling IIMs for mis-management. 

In just one reddit post, there were about 1000 candidate comments in few hours, most of them asking others to confirm the address of a specific city code. Of course, no one knows that for sure! 

Disappointed with the developments, an aspirant wryly wrote, “What a new way to distract people from the fact that a management institution is doing mismanagement by not providing things on time.” 

What TCS and IIMs can do for damage control
To restore clarity and confidence in CAT aspirants, IIMs and TCS should either completely stop the issue of provisional admit card details from the official site till official Admit Card is released, or issue an official list of CAT 2025 exam centres with test centre codes for students to match.
