CMAT 2022 Result Released: Score Card Scraps Percentile Display; Candidates in Shock, Institutes to Revise Admission Criteria -Check your Chances in Top MBA Colleges

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CMAT 2022 Result for 51144 test takers who appeared in CMAT exam on April 9, 2022. This year CMAT score card does not display percentile score and consists of raw score and all India rank. This has opened Pandora’s box as both applicants and AICTE approved MBA colleges never expected that NTA will do something like this in release of CMAT score card.

While your overall and sectional CMAT score with all India rank is available in the score card, the  percentile is missing. The Candidates are worried how to check cut offs before applying for admission and the admission heads of the AICTE approved institutes are yet to arrive at revised admission criteria. NTA did not share any prior information that the CMAT 2022 result would not contain the percentile score which has remained available all through the CMAT results so far.

Panic among Students
All through the earlier CMAT exams, the test takers could immediately apply for admission after release of CMAT result as it contained Percentile score, Raw score and Rank. Since all the institutes announce their likely CMAT cut off percentile well in advance, it was easy for the applicants to check their corresponding percentile and apply. This year they are unable to follow this rule

Distress Among Admission Heads
All the leading management institutes accepting CMAT score now have to decide their cut off based on raw score or rank or both. No Rechecking or Revaluation of CMAT Scores Allowed
If not satisfied with your CMAT scores, you cannot get your CMAT score card 2022 revaluated. There will be no rechecking or revaluation facility of scores available for NTA CMAT 2022 after declaration of result. NTA provides the facility to challenge the official CMAT answer key to all the test takers before the declaration of CMAT result. Please note that CMAT exam is now conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and not by AICTE.

CMAT 2022 Result: Merit List & its components
NTA announces the All India Merit list based on the scores obtained by the candidates in computer based Common Management Admission Test CMAT-2022. A national merit ranking is arrived at, based on the Total Score giving weightage to sectional score also. Accordingly, a candidate with equal sectional scores as per the difficulty level in CMAT exam may get a higher score and thereby a higher rank in the merit list.

Order of Merit in CMAT 2022: In Case of Equal Total Scores
In case scores are same for more than one candidate in CMAT 2022 result, the ranking is done on sectional score considered in the order of:

• Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
• Logical Reasoning
• Language Comprehension
• General Awareness
• Innovation & Entreprenurship
• If more than one candidate secures same ranking going by the above process, the same Rank is assigned to all of them but is displayed by sorting their names alphabetically.
• The Rank of the subsequent candidate is then extended by the number of additional students having the same Rank. For example if 3 students are at 25th Rank then subsequent student will be ranked as 28th.

CMAT 2022 score accepting management institutes are the institutions offering AICTE approved MBA/PGDM programmes and are accepting the CMAT Score for MBA/PGDM admission 2922. Candidates must apply separately to the desired CMAT-2022 participating institutes with the CMAT Score 2022. Then, each participating institute will release its respective cut – off CMAT Score which you should meet to get admission to that particular institute.
