FORE School of Management, New Delhi celebrated its 25th Annual Convocation on May 25, 2022 for the diverse PGDM batch of 581 graduates with 35% female students. The Chief Guest for the convocation Mr. Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and MD, Nestlé India delivered the Convocation Address and advised the students to focus and work on the 4-A Principle to tackle the post pandemic uncertainties

FORE School of Management, Delhi has conferred Post Graduate Diplomas to the large and diverse two PGDM batches with 581 passing out students with 35% female students in its 25th Convocation which was held on May 25, 2022. The Chief Guest for the convocation Mr. Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestlé India Ltd delivered the Convocation Address. The event took place in the presence of Dr. Jitendra Das, Director;  Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, Chairman BoG; Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, Vice-Chairman BoG; faculty and students

Delivering the Convocation Address, the Chief Guest, Mr. Suresh Narayanan, Chairman & MD Nestle India shared his perspectives to the post-graduating students and said, “Post-pandemic, the world is witnessing many geopolitical uncertainties. To tackle this kind of situation, one must focus and work on the 4-A Principle.”

Mr Narayanan elaborated the four important components of A-4 principle and said, “Attitude to life, work, aspiration under adverse situations; Agility - the capability of your muscles to move, when stimulated in the right direction; Adaptability - adapt to circumstances by renewing your skillsets; and Anticipation”  and asked the students to “get the principle of clarity in your lives.” Defining the key characteristics of a leader, he said “one of the defining characteristics of a great leader is Courage to do things in better ways”.

The Chief Guest at the Convocation of FORE School of Management, Mr. Suresh Narayanan is the Chairman and Managing Director of the Company with effect from 29th October 2015. He has over 30 years of rich and exhaustive experience in the FMCG Industry and has held senior management and top leadership roles in leading global companies including Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Philippines; Executive Vice President for Sales in India; Managing Director of Nestlé Singapore; Chairman and CEO and Head of NEAR of Nestlé Egypt among other key positions. Mr. Narayanan began his career as a management trainee with Hindustan Unilever and has also worked with Colgate Palmolive in India. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, a Diploma from the IMD Program for Executive Development and has participated in the Nestlé Leadership Program of the London Business School.

Dr. Jitendra Das, Director of FORE School of Management, welcomed the Chief Guest and advised the passing out students that “Never be afraid of making mistakes in life. Mistakes are part of human nature. Learn from your mistakes, don’t repeat them, and move on. Life is full of challenges, obstacles, and surprises. But with hard work and a positive attitude, one can achieve success”.

FORE Registers Faster and Better Placements 2022
Dr Das highlighted that the Final placements for Batch 2020-22 at FORE School of Management have been faster and better with higher average and median salary, better quality of Companies, and multiple job offers for students. Apart from higher salary packages, there has been an improvement in the diversity of recruiters as well. Summer Internship for the year 2020-21 resulted in research papers of students jointly with faculty members and selected papers have been published as a Book titled “Adapting to Business during Covid-19 and other Issues”. The book was also inaugurated during this convocation.

‘FORE Faculty at Core’ says Dr Madhukar, Chairman
Emphasizing the importance of the role of faculty and the value of humanity, Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, Chairman said, “Teachers are the light of life. I urge the students to acknowledge the worth of teachers, embrace gratitude & humility and recognize the value of your language & culture”.

Highlighting the rich alumni base of FORE School of Management, Dr Madhukar further added, “Net worth is equivalent to Network. So, build your network and grow your connections with FORE’s Alumni and it might help you at several junctures of your life; whether it is assistance in placements, being a part of FORE’s faculty, or developing work relations”.

Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, Vice-Chairman proposed vote of thanks and advised students to be true to themselves in every situation because time will give different lessons from classrooms to real life.
