Before you move to apply for IBSAT 2018 to pursue MBA/PGPM/PhD program at one of the IBS colleges, you must know the all the details – how and when to apply, what is the admission process and what your chances of admission to one of the top IBS Colleges.

Please note that some of the ICFAI B-schools offer MBA programme while other IBS colleges  offer PGPM. MBA is offered by IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur. Common Application Form
The application form is common for admission to MBA/PGPM program at all the IBS B-schools namely IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai & IBS Pune campuses and PhD program (full-time/part time) at IBS Hyderabad campus.

IBSAT Bulletin can be purchased through one of the following methods by payment of Rs 1800/-. IBSAT 2018 Application is available Online and Offline

Online:-

  • Online Registration and application can be completed at  IBSAT 2018 website
  • After successful transaction of application fee payment of Rs. 1800/-, candidates will receive a mail/SMS with details of application number and password.

Offline:-

  • Offline Application is available at the 50 IBS FTP Branches across India. Nearest branch can be located by visiting IBS website

IBSAT Eligibility
To appear in IBSAT 2018, the eligibility requirements prescribed by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education are:

Graduate in any discipline
Minimum eligibility criteria required is the graduation in any discipline with not less than 50 percent marks. The candidates in their final year of graduation are eligible to apply provided they are able to complete their graduation including any type of practical etc. examination before May 31, 2019. 

15 years of minimum education till graduation
Candidate must have gone through minimum 15 years of regular education i.e. 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis.

English Medium Education needed or submit TOEFL/NELT/IELTS scores
Candidates applying for IBSAT 2018 should ensure that they have studied with English as medium of instruction. Applicants not meeting the criteria of English as medium of instruction at undergraduate level are supposed to submit the TOEFL/NELT/IELTS score by May 31, 2019.. Read More

IBSAT 2018 Exam Pattern
IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) of moderate difficulty level. The exam tests the candidate’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, analytical reasoning, vocabulary and comprehension.  It is a comprehensive multiple choice question(MCQ) examination with a two hours duration.  Major share in the examination is consumed by Vocabulary (English) and reading comprehension with more than 50 percent questions and rest is divided among the other four.

Interestingly, the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension are two separate sections in IBSAT exam. The number of questions in each section is shared below:

Admission Process After IBSAT
IBSAT 2018 results will be announced on January 05, 2019 and based on their scores in IBSAT 2018, the qualified candidates will be called for briefing sessions, to be held in 40 cities across India in the month of February 2019.

After the briefing sessions, the candidates shall have to present themselves for next round of selection process comprising Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Apart from the foregoing,  past academic record will also be taken into account before final selection.

CAT/NMAT/GMAT also accepted
GMAT®/CAT/NMAT by GMACTM scores from 2016 onwards are also accepted in place of IBSAT 2018 by IBS B-schools.

Candidates with high scores in any of the above exams may choose not to appear in IBSAT 2018 and can apply on the basis of their other exam scores. However candidates should apply with their CAT 2018, NMAT by GMAC or GMAT scores by January 31, 2019. It is a good opportunity to get a good B school for those who have scored well in CAT/NMAT/GMAT.

MBA Fee at ICFAI B-schools

The fee for the MBA program at IBS Hyderabad campus is Rs. 7.02 lakhs per annum.

The fee for the MBA program at IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur campuses is Rs. 2.84 lakhs per annum.

The fee for the PGPM program at IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Kolkata, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune campuses is Rs 4.01 lakhs per annum.

IBSAT does not have a high difficulty level. Despite having a similar question pattern as that of other MBA entrance examinations, due care is taken in formation of question types. Most of the candidates applying for IBSAT 2018, have already been preparing for CAT/IIFT/ XAT/ CMAT /MAT/NMAT and by the time they go for IBSAT 2018, most of these entrance tests will be over. Since the aspirants have already prepared and appeared for different MBA/PGPM entrance test with high difficulty level, IBSAT will not be difficult to crack.
