Breaking its last year record of concluding placement in January, IFIM Bangalore has announced 100% Internship cum Placements in the month of December 2019 for its PGDM 2018–20 batch. According to IFIM a total of 159 companies participated in the program for 261 graduating students. Majority of the companies that participated were in the new age business areas with IT, E-Commerce and Consulting as major assignments.
The Graduating batch of 261 students who specialized in the areas of Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing, Human Resources, and International Business have been successfully placed based on their interest and aspirations. According to IFIM the highest internship stipend offered is Rs.0.81 lac per month with an average internship stipend of Rs.0.25 lac per month.
Placements 2020 season is currently underway. Top 25 B-schools hope to finish placements by January 2020, while rest of the B-schools in top 50 hope to complete placements by March or so. However, IFIM has shared with MBAUniverse.com that it has already completed its Placements 2020.

Information Technology (IT) has emerged as the prominent recruiting sector in placement 2020 with 23% share. The next top recruiting sector is Consulting with 13% share followed by Manufacturing with 11% share. Adverstising,Media and EduTech contributed 7% share each. NBFC and e-Commerce contributed 6% share followed by Services and BFSI with 5% share each. FMCG had 4% share followed by Retail with 3% share in recruitment. Other sectors contributed 10% share in recruitment.
