IIM Ahmedabad Launches Dubai Campus; Offers One-Year MBA for Working Professionals Priced at USD 80,000

In a landmark development, IIM Ahmedabad has launched its Dubai campus. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, inaugurated the IIM Ahmedabad Dubai campus on September 11, 2025. Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan hailed the launch of IIM Ahmedabad Dubai campus as a historic leap towards the globalisation of Indian higher education. Dr Bharat Bhasker, Director, IIM Ahmedabad said that the new campus will offer high-quality management education to aspiring leaders in the Middle East region. IIM Ahmedabad Dubai campus is offering a One Year MBA program with fees of USD 80,000.

“This is another big leap towards globalisation of India’s education as envisioned by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi. IIM Ahmedabad Dubai campus will take the best of India to the world, " the education minister said.

Earlier this year, IIM Ahmedabad and the United Arab Emirates Government had signed a MoU for the establishment of the IIMA Dubai Campus. The IIMA Dubai campus is being established in two phases. In the first phase, IIM Ahmedabad is provided space in the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). In the second phase of campus development, IIMA will be provided with land where the permanent campus is expected to come up and become operational from 2029.

Sharing the relevance of the initiative, Dr Bharat Bhasker, Director, IIMA told MBAUniverse.com, “Dubai has emerged as a thriving global epicentre for innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship, making it the ideal location for IIMA’s international campus. IIM Ahmedabad Dubai campus will provide high-quality management education to aspiring leaders in the Middle East region.”

IIM Ahmedabad Dubai One Year MBA Course
IIM Ahmedabad is offering a one year MBA course in Dubai for experienced professionals. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised institution.
A minimum of four years of full-time work experience after completion of graduation.
Applicants must be at least 25 years old as of August 31, 2025.
A valid GMAT or GRE score taken within the last five years.

The admission process for IIM Ahmedabad Dubai One Year MBA Course involves two stages. Initially, candidates will be shortlisted based on their GMAT/GRE scores, leadership profile, and overall application merit. Those shortlisted must then submit essays on topics within the deadline. In the final stage, candidates will undergo a personal interview with a panel of IIM Ahmedabad faculty members. The IIM Ahmedabad Dubai One Year MBA course fee is USD 80,000 (Rs 70 Lakhs). The first batch of IIM Ahmedabad Dubai One Year MBA program is expected to begin in September-October 2025.
