IIM Indore has inaugurated its PGP and PGP-HRM 2022-24, 4th year IPM and FPM 2022 Batch on June 27, 2022 with 641 students. The day also witnessed Mr. Roopank Chowdhury of PGP 1999-2001 batch receiving the First Distinguished Alumni Award on the occasion. The new batches were inaugurated by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, during the induction programme.
IIM Indore has yet again achieved high gender diversity with 34 & 97% women students in its PGP and PGP-HRM Programmes. The batch strength and diversity is as below:

Welcoming the new batch of the Post Graduate Programme (PGP), Post Graduate Programme in Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM), Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), and Integrated Programme in Management – Fourth Year (IPM-4th Year), Prof. Rai shared the significance of developing a holistic, inclusive, and equitable perspective and advised the young managers, leaders, and budding entrepreneurs, that efficient leaders are good at their job; however, successful leaders are the ones who are good at networking. He said, ‘Talk to the people who are different from you – who come from different backgrounds, have a unique thought process, come from diverse backgrounds” and explained “This would help you widen your horizon and learn from them.” He encouraged the new batch to focus on their conscience and remove all the distractions, as this would allow them to decide on the urgent and important tasks and enable them to achieve fruitful pursuits.
IIM Indore Confers 1st Distinguished Alumni Award
On this occasion, IIM Indore conferred the First Distinguished Alumni Award on Mr. Roopank Chaudhary (PGP 1999-2001). Mr. Chaudhary received his award for his exceptional achievements in his field. Prof. Himanshu Rai & Prof. Ganesh N., Chair – Alumni Affairs, presented him with the award. The purpose of the award is to recognize the longevity and consistency of achievements of the highest caliber by the alumni over their professional life. Self or peer nominations were accepted from IIMI alumni with at least ten years of post-MBA work experience. The awardee is selected by a jury consisting of the Director of the Institute, the alumni chair, representative(s) from the alumni association, representative(s) from industry, and senior professor(s).
Mr. Chaudhary thanked IIM Indore for receiving the award and shared many nostalgic moments with the new batch. He also enlightened the participants with his life learnings, which helped him grow and achieve success over the years. ‘Don’t let everyone ever tell you how to achieve success. Success is individual. No one can define success for you. Find your purpose and identify your own definition of success’, he said.
Mentioning that the industry has evolved over the years, significantly more after the pandemic, he advised the participants to be flexible and learn to adapt. ‘Jobs these days are less about specializations and more about being agile with diverse experiences. Enhance your emotional quotient, and also strengthen your Resilient Quotient, for this would help you learn to manage the chaos and develop the patience to handle and embrace the storms’, he said. He advised the participants to be humble and never underestimate the competition. ‘Hunger, humility, and honesty would get you far ahead than power, positioning, and politics. So push yourself out of your comfort zone, engage in diversity, learn and take time to do things that make you happy’, he concluded.
Prof. Shihari Sohani, Chair – PGP encouraged the participants to construct their learning process and knowledge through contemplation, enhancing their thought leadership skills as they graduate. “Our robustly designed curriculum would prepare you for the corporate world as you graduate. The curriculum is a fantastic combo of rigorous and open creativity, but you will have to grab the opportunity to give directions to your curriculum by choosing the electives of your choice”, he explained. The event concluded with briefings on computing facilities, library, infrastructure, and other significant issues beneficial for the new batch.
The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and Post Graduate Programme in Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM) at IIM Indore are the 2 years full time residential MBA programmes. The Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore is the integrated BBA+MBA programme which offers graduation and post graduation degree in Management from IIM Indore. The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is the Doctoral Programme in Management.
IIM Indore had released final admission result 2022 for PGP and PGP-HRM 2022-24 batch on its website after completing the final selection process. The result consisted of finally selected as well as waitlisted candidates.
