The 2 years Post Graduate Programme (PGP) at IIM Nagpur has been accorded equivalence with Master’s degree of an Indian University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for the purpose of admission to higher studies.

13.1 Admission Process to Identify Suitable Candidates
IIM Nagpur Admission Criteria seek to identify the most promising candidates for the PGP batch of 2023. The Institute uses parameters like Past Academic Performance in 10th standard examination, 12th standard examination and Bachelor’s degree examination, candidates’ scores in CAT, academic and gender diversity, work experience to shortlist the candidates for final selection round. The performance in Personal Interview and Written Ability Test are meant to judge the suitability of candidates for the PGP program. IIM Nagpur will use the CAT 2022 score to establish the minimum level of proficiency that is expected from the candidate in respective areas as indicated by section wise minimum scores in the CAT. While in the shortlisting process, CAT 2022 score is awarded 30% weight, in the final selection criteria, the weight for CAT exam score is only 15%.  Multiple criteria are used to arrive at a Final Score while making final admission offer. IIM Nagpur admission criteria 2023 adopt a phased selection process and the selection criteria are applied in three phases. The admission criteria, parameters and weights used are uniform for all categories of candidates.

It is mandatory for the candidates who wish to pursue MBA from IIM Nagpur to have appeared in the CAT 2022 exam on November 27, 2022 and should have scored well. A balanced score in all the three sections of CAT 2022 and good academic profile remains the key to get admission in IIM Nagpur.

All the candidates who are shortlisted in Stage 2 are asked to confirm their interest in attending the PI/WAT of IIM Nagpur in the first week of April. Only those candidates who send confirmation at this stage are scheduled for PI/WAT.

So, given the relatively short time in which the admission process of IIM Nagpur happens, the institute wants the interested candidates to reconfirm their interest.
