IIM Nagpur has recorded 100% rise in the highest salary package in placement 2020. The highest salary has gone up to Rs.40 LPA in 2020 from Rs.20 LPA last year. Average salary has gone up at Rs.13.10 LPA from Rs.12.35 LPA last year. IIM Nagpur has concluded final placement 2020 for its 4th PGP batch 2018-20, keeping intact its record of 100% placement. IIM Nagpur has concluded the final Placement 2020 for its fourth batch of students enrolled in its flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP 2018-20) with 100% increase in highest salary which has gone up at Rs.40 LPA this year from Rs.20 LPA last year. The placement report was released on March 6, 2020 by IIM Nagpur. 

With double the batch size as compared to the last year batch, this year also IIM Nagpur achieved 100% placement and closed the placements two weeks earlier, as compared to last year.

Strategy, Sales & Marketing, General Management and Operations were the most sought-after roles, closely followed by Analytics and Finance among students in IIM Nagpur Placement 2020.

On the successful completion of Placement 2020 season, Prof. L S Murty, Director, IIM Nagpur said, “This year, our graduating batch size is double that of last year. And the recruitment process is competitive as ever. Yet, I am very happy to state, our graduating batch was completely placed, and even before time compared to last year. The recruiters have given a clear message this year with more PPOs and better package statistics, this year we also saw 36 new recruiters participating in the campus recruitment process.”

The final placement process for IIM Nagpur witnessed 50+ recruiters, including many first-time participants, making a beeline to recruit the best available talent from the campus.

IIM Nagpur witnessed participation from organizations like Deloitte Consulting, Amazon, ThyssenKrupp, MuSigma, Tata Power, DHL, Genpact, ANZ Bank, Hexaware Technologies, TechMahindra, Wipro Digital, TVS Motors, VGuard, Kotak Mahindra, HCL Technologies, L&T Realty, Sutherland Global, Tredence Analytics, Trianz Holdings, FSS, MahaMetro, FIITJEE, and Aspect Ratio Data, among many others.

Top Recruiting Sectors & Domains
The season saw participation from sectors like FMCD, Manufacturing, Analytics, IT, Consulting, Automobile, Logistics and others.

Consulting, followed by Engineering Services, ITES and BFSI recruited more than seventy nine percent of the batch. The highest domestic package offered saw a 100% increment from ₹20 Lacs last year to ₹40 Lacs this year.

Strategy, Sales & Marketing, General Management and Operations were the most sought-after roles, closely followed by Analytics and Finance among students.

Prof. Rahul Kumar Sett, Chairperson, Career Development Services (CDS) at IIM Nagpur, said “This season, we not only successfully retained our previous recruiters but also witnessed more participation from first-time recruiters. Our flexibility in introducing new courses in accordance with the changing nature of work across domains gives us that significant edge.”

The industry restored its confidence in the IIM Nagpur fraternity owing to its stringent academic rigor and holistic management ecosystem. IIM Nagpur started functioning with the launch of its 1st PGP batch 2015-17 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. For the 4th batch, IIM Nagpur had increased intake to 120 students. After passing of IIM Bill 2017, the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management at IIM Nagpur will lead to award of MBA degree instead of diploma.

IIM Nagpur Shortly Moving to New Campus
IIM Nagpur permanent campus is under construction and will be ready shortly. Sharing further, Prof Murty said, “We plan to soon move into our new campus with increased student intake. We are committed to support the growing demand of the industry with higher quality managerial resources.”

At present, IIM Nagpur is located within the campus of VNIT Nagpur. The construction of its new 132 Acre campus has started on March 6, 2019. The ceremony had flagged off the first phase of the development of IIMN’s permanent campus at Dahegaon Mauza in MIHAN. The new campus is designed to cater to 600 students. The campus has been designed to minimise the environmental footprint while facilitating learning both inside and outside the classroom. Phase 1 has a built-up area of approximately 60,000 sq. Mtrs.

IIM Nagpur new campus will include the construction of a state-of-the-art academic complex, library, administrative block, student hostels, sports complex, and residential quarters. The campus will also house a Management Development Centre for the institute’s Executive Education Programmes (EEP) and IIM Nagpur’s entrepreneurship incubation centre, InFED, in addition to allied infrastructure.
