1. IIM Raipur Admission 2024: Key Changes
While there is common shortlisting criteria for all the CAP participating IIMs, the components and weightages for final selection are decided separately by each IIM. As such IIM Raipur has revamped its complete final selection criteria and will award following weightages in generating merit list for admission 2024:

• A Common CAP cut off for 10 IIMs including IIM Ripur at 94 percentile will be applied for shortlisting for PI Round
• CAT 2023 sectional cut off for each of the 3 sections is 73 percentile for General category for CAP round

1.1 IIM Raipur Admission 2024 through CAP 2024: Key Details
For MBA admission 2024 in following 10 new & baby IIMs, A Common Admission Process (CAP) will be conducted by IIM Kashipur. Registration process for CAP 2024 begins in the last week of January 2024 and the CAP round begins in February 2024. All the IIMs will follow common criteria at first stage shortlisting for CAP 2024

8. IIM Raipur Eligibility criteria 2024

1. IIM Raipur Eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, the eligibility criterion is relaxed to 45%
2. One of the most important points in IIM Raipur Admission Eligibility criteria is that apart from a recognized graduate degree, the candidate should appear in CAT 2023 exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to be considered for shortlisting
3. If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence to determine PGP admission eligibility would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IIM Raipur by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100 to confirm the Admission eligibility of the candidate. 
4. The candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for IIM Raipur Admission 2024. Such a candidate must produce a certificate from the principal/head of the department/ registrar/director of the institution/ university certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year or is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category) based on latest available grades/marks.
5. IIM Raipur Eligibility further clarifies that such a candidate, if selected, will not be eligible for the IIM Raipur admission unless he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2024 from the principal/head of the department/registrar/director of the institution/university (issued on or before June 30, 2024) stating that they have completed all the requirements (the result may, however, be awaited) for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.
6. It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by IIM Raipur and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination held on or before June 30, 2024.  The deadline to submit the mark-sheet and the certificate is December 31, 2024. 

9. IIM Raipur Admission Application Process 2024: How to Apply?
Submission of Application for IIM Raipur Admission 2024 is a two step process. The first one is to apply for CAT 2024 based on which IIM Raipur will consider you for next round of admission process and second is to register separately for IIM-CAP 2024 for IIM Raipur admission 2024. Let us understand each step:

Step-1: CAT 2024 registration process had started from August 2, 2023. Candidates had to apply for CAT 2023 by the last date of September 21, 2023. Check below the key points in IIM Raipur admission application process through CAT 2023:

• It is mandatory to register and apply for CAT 2023 for IIM Raipur Admission 2024
• On the page 4 of CAT 2024 application form, you need to select IIM Raipur PGP and select the interview city

Step-2:  In January 2024 last week, after declaration of CAT 2023 exam result, registration for Common Admission Process (CAP) will open. You need to register for CAP round to participate in PI-WAT process at the official IIM CAP website.

9.1 IIM Raipur Application Fees
IIM Raipur has not prescribed any separate application fee. The CAT 2023 registration & Application fee includes the IIM Raipur application fees, as detailed below

10. IIM Raipur Admission 2024: Important Dates
All the candidates who have registered and applied for CAT 2024, who have opted for admission in IIM Raipur in the CAT 2023 application form, and score the required cut off percentile, will be considered for next stage of IIM Raipur Admission criteria.  Important dates related to admission activities 2024 at IIM Raipur are as below:

11. IIM Raipur Cut off
Only the candidates above the minimum cut-offs in the CAT 2023 sectional percentile ranks, the overall percentile rank and obtaining a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections of CAT-2023 are considered for shortlisting.

The table below indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for the PI. However, achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted by IIM Raipur. The actual IIM Raipur cut off percentiles for the 2024-26 batch may be higher. IIM Raipur will decide the number of candidates to be called for the PI & WAT for each category, depending on which the cut off percentiles can also change.

Only the candidates meeting the cut-off criteria would be considered for shortlisting. The minimum requirement to be fulfilled by the candidates for being considered for shortlisting for PI is CAT 2023 cut off with 73 sectional and 94 overall percentile. These are the minimum prescribed cut offs which will be used for shortlisting purpose only and do not imply entitlement as the actual cut off may go higher or lower as per the decision of the admission committee.

The individual CAT 2023 sectional percentile and the overall percentile may be lowered/relaxed, if the actual number of shortlisted candidates are found to be less than the required number of candidates to be called for PI in one or more categories. The relaxation in the cut-off criteria is to ensure sufficient number of candidates for each of the categories for PI process.

12. IIM Raipur Admission Criteria 2024: Exam Accepted, Selection Process
IIM Raipur Admission 2024 is a five-stage process

• Stage 1: Shortlist Release for CAP 2024 Round after CAT Result declaration
• Stage-2: Conduct of PA Round comprising Personal Interview (PI). The PA process will be common to IIMs which are participating in the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024
• Stage-3: The Final Selection List based on CAT score, CAP Score and other parameters
• Stage-4: Offer for Provisional Admission for the MBA 2024-26 batch
• Stage-5: Reporting for joining the MBA 2024-26 program

Stage-I:  IIM Raipur Shortlisting Criteria 2024
IIM Raipur will shortlist the candidates on the basis of CAT 2023 score, and other parameters for final selection round as under:

• The shortlisting for final selection round in IIM Raipur Admission Criteria awards maximum weight to CAT 2023 score.
• The candidate must have scored minimum sectional percentile of 73 in each of the three sections of CAT 2023 – Quantitative Aptitude' (QA), ‘Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning' (DILR) and ‘Verbal and Reading Comprehension' (VRC)
• A candidate must have scored minimum overall percentile of 94 in CAT 2023
• If the candidate does not score minimum prescribed percentile in CAT 2023, he/she will not be considered for shortlisting for final selection stage.
• IIM Raipur Admission Committee decides the number of candidates who would be shortlisted for PA round on the basis of criteria prepared for each category
• All the Candidates shortlisted for PA process have to attend online PI which is a common process for all the participating IIMs

Stage-2: IIM Raipur Final Admission Selection Process: CAP Round

• All the shortlisted candidates should participate in Personal Appearance (PA) round for admission to IIM Raipur
• Final Selection Round 2024 for IIM Raipur Admission consists of Online Personal Interview (PI)
• The final selection PA round for IIM Raipur Admission will be common for the IIMs who are participating in the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024.

Stage-3: IIM Raipur Final Selection List based on CAT score, CAP Score and other parameters
The scores obtained by the candidate in PA process of CAP 2024 would be considered for preparing the merit list

• The scores obtained by the candidate in PI of CAP 2024 would be considered for preparing the final merit list
• IIM Raipur admission criteria after final admission round award a weight of 42 per cent to CAT 2023 Score (Scaled to 100); 23% weight to Personal Interview(PI); 33% weight to profile and 2% weight to Profile Mapping
• Minimum cut off may be applied to PI components. Candidates who do not obtain certain minimum scores in the PI will not be considered for the merit list. The minimum scores will be decided by IIM Raipur at its discretion.

IIM Raipur Final Selection Criteria Weights for Admission  2024
Following are the key components and weightage to each area which will be awarded while preparing final merit list for admission:

Stage-4: Offer for Provisional Admission for the MBA 2024-26 batch
IIM Raipur will issue provisional admission offer on registered e-mail ID of the selected candidates after generating the final merit list in April last week/May first week 2024. You need to accept the admission offer online and should pay the admission fee by the stipulated date to avoid cancellation of candidature.

Stage-5: Reporting for joining the MBA 2024-26 program
IIM Raipur will notify and will send the communication to report at the institute to complete the joining formalities. The academic session is likely to commence in the first week of July.

13. Role of IIM-CAP 2024 in IIM Raipur Admission 2024
IIM Raipur Admission criteria 2024 is based on Common Admission process (CAP) 2024. IIM Raipur will have the same shortlisting criteria as that of all 10 participating IIMs for Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024 while CAT 2023 is the mandatory exam to be considered for shortlisting by IIM Raipur.

13.1 CAP 2024: Key Points 
IIM Raipur participates in Common Admission Process (CAP) which is the PI round, conducted for admission to new IIMs. This year number of CAP participating IIMs has increased to 10 after IIM Nagpur has decided to participate in CAP 2024. Last year 9 IIMs participated in the process.  Admission to the PGP Programme at IIM Raipur for the year 2024-26 batch shall constitute the following parameters under Common Admission Process (CAP):

• CAT 2023 Examination valid CAT score, as applicable
• Common eligibility criteria for shortlisting to PI process: IIM Raipur shall have the same shortlisting criteria as that of all other participating IIMs for CAP-2024
• Personal Appearance (PA): Online Personal Interview
• Announcement of the final selection/merit list on the basis of the composite score arrived at using weightages as per valid CAT-2023 score, PI score, academic profile, work experience and diversity (gender/academic disciplines)

It is mandatory for the candidates who wish to pursue MBA from IIM Raipur to participate in CAP 2024. A balanced score in all the three sections of CAT and good academic profile is the key to get admission in IIM Raipur. The PGP at IIM Raipur is a master’s level programme, leading to the grant of a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA).

14. Rules for Withdrawal from IIM Raipur PGP Program

• In the event of a candidate withdrawing from the program before registration, the waitlisted candidates would be given admissions against the vacant seat
• The fees collected from the candidate after deduction of processing fee of Rs.1000/- shall be refunded
• If a candidate registers for the program, his/her Offer Acceptance Amount will be adjusted against Term I Fee
• In the event of withdrawal from the Program after registration, and if seat consequently falling vacant gets filled by another candidate by the last date of admission, IIM Raipur will return the fees collected with proportionate deductions of fee and hostel rent, where applicable.

15. IIM Raipur PGP Admission 2024: Step by Step Process
The IIM Raipur admission process for PGP 2024-26 batch follows following steps. IIM Raipur admission policy applies only to the PGP selection process for 2024-26 batch. 

• Step 1: The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required sectional and overall percentile in CAT 2023 to be considered for Shortlisting process for admission at IIM Raipur. Category wise short-lists of the candidates are prepared for Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2023 score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme of IIM Raipur.
• Step 2: Shortlisted Candidates have to attend Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024 for the participating IIMs. CAP 2024 will consist of  online PI round in final selection process. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in PI will not be considered for the final selection.
• Step 3: After the PI round, admission offers are made by IIM Raipur to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which include performance in CAT, performance in PI, academics, work experience, diversity among others. Category wise merit list will be generated based on weightages awarded to various components.
• Step 4: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the last week of April 2024 on the basis of Final Merit Score and will be available on IIM Raipur website. 
• Step 5: A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Raipur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send Offer Acceptance Form along with Offer Acceptance Fee of Rs.100,000/-

There are many young students who wish to appear in CAT and apply for IIM Raipur admission to pursue MBA but they are in the second year or third year of their bachelor’s degree course and are not eligible this year but can apply for IIM Raipur admission 2025 through CAT 2024. For the last 2-3 years IIM Raipur admission policy has remained on same lines and it is expected that the IIM Raipur admission 2025 process will remain on similar lines as this year.
