IIM Tiruchirappalli Placement 2019: Average Salary Up at Rs.14.91 LPA; Highest salary at Rs.35.15 LPA

IIM Tiruchirappalli has concluded its final placement 2019 with the average salary going up to Rs.14.91 lakhs for the batch 2017-19. Highest domestic salary has also gone up at Rs.35.15 lakhs. 94 recruiters participated in placement 2019 and made 170 offers with diverse roles

IIM Tiruchirappalli has concluded its final placement 2019 with an increase in average salary which stood at Rs.14.91 lakhs as against Rs.14.28 lakhs last year. The highest domestic salary has also gone up to Rs.35.15 lakhs this year from Rs.31.70 lakhs last year. Out of the large batch of 172 students, 2 students opted out of placement process and 170 students participated in placement 2019. 94 recruiters participated in placement this year and made more than 170 offers to the students. IIM Trichy has maintained 100% placement record despite the large batch size.

Placement Trends and Analysis
The placement season 2019 touched new heights surpassing the industry expectations. There has been an increase in the average annual compensation by 4.42% compared to last year. The average annual compensation of the top 10 percentile increased by 22.86% whereas that of the top 25 percentile increased by 13.3%. There has been a 100% increase in the domestic offers which have an annual compensation above ₹30 lakhs and a 44% increase in the annual compensation above ₹20 lakhs in the overall offers this year. This year also saw an 80% increase in the number of PPOs over the previous year. In line with the emerging trends in the era of Industry 4.0, the notable roles offered across domains were of Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, Risk Analyst, Product Management, Brand Management, Consulting among others.

Placement 2019 at IIM Trichy witnessed Consulting & Analytics contributing highest 32% share followed by Sales & Marketing with 27%. Finance contributed 21% share; General Management 11% share and Operations 9% share in Placement 2019.
