Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) Mumbai final placement 2019 for its MMS 2017-19 batch has concluded with a higher average salary, large number of PPOs and marquee companies participating in the placement season. Placement 2019 Trends & Analysis: Average Salary rising
All the students who participated in JBIMS placement 2019 got well placed at an average salary of Rs.20.13 LPA as against Rs. 18.91 LPA last year.  Moving on the path of Make in India and making the MBA shine, JBIMS has again proved that there is no slowdown in placement offers.

Average salary in Placement 2019 for top 10% students has shot up by 14.1% and has stood at Rs.28.96 LPA as against Rs. 25.38 lakhs last year. The average salary for top 30% has increased by 21.7% and stood at Rs.26.4 LPA in Placement 2019 as against Rs. 21.68 LPA last year. Median Salary at JBIMS Placement 2019 has also gone up by 17.6% and has stood at Rs.20 LPA as against Rs. 17 LPA last year. JBIMS has again maintained its legacy of 100% placement with more offers and variety of profiles. Popularly known as CEO factory and finance campus, JBIMS Placement 2019 saw substantial rise in the number of PPOs offered to the students. More than half of the batch has been offered PPOs/PPIs. Out of 130 students, there were 67 PPOs offered by the recruiters.

Noteworthy companies like Aditya Birla Group, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, HUL, ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank, J P Morgan Chase, JSW, McKinsey & Company, RIL, TATA, Vodafone offered PPOs/PPIs to the JBIMS students.

BFSI: 41% Share in Placement - Emerges Top Recruiting Sector
Banking Finance Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector topped the list by making 41% offers.  In line with the trend of past placement seasons, the BFSI sector continued to recruit students from JBIMS and stood as the largest recruiter.

Offers were made by the companies such as Aditya Birla Capital Ltd, Anand Rathi Wealth Services Ltd, Axxela Advisory Services, Bajaj Finserv, Centrum, Citibank, DBS Bank, Fidelity Investments, Franklin Templeton, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, ICICI Securities, IDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, J. P. Morgan Chase & Co., Kotak Life Insurance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Legacy Investments Ltd., Motilal Oswal, SBI Card, SBI Life Insurance, Trafigura, Tresvista among others.

Technology: 19% Share in Placement
Technology companies from this sector also fostered their relationship with the institute, hiring 19% students across top profiles like Product Management, Pre-sales Consulting, Business Analyst among others.

Automobile and Manufacturing: 11% Share in Placement
This sector saw the participation of Bajaj Auto, Godrej & Boyce, Hero Moto Corp, Jumbo Electronics, Maruti Suzuki, Quarry, Schlumberger, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Varroc among others. Roles offered were a range of coveted profiles in Corporate Finance, Strategy, Sales & Marketing and Retail.

Consulting: 8% Share in Placement
Prestigious consulting firms like Accelya Kale, Accenture Strategy, BCG, Growisto, Infosys Consulting Ltd., KPMG, McKinsey & Company, Michael Page participated in the process and offered placement to 8% batch in this sector.

Conglomerates: 8% Share in Placement
Conglomerates like Essar Services India Pvt Ltd, JSW, Larsen & Toubro, Mahindra and Mahindra, Reliance Industries Ltd, Vedanta offered coveted profiles. JBIMS once again proved to be the campus of choice for these recruiters.

FMCG: 7% Share in Placement
FMCG companies hired 7% batch for diverse roles. JBIMS saw a mix of some of the top names in the FMCG sector like Bisleri, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., Hindustan Unilever Ltd, L’Oreal, Raymond, Tolaram among others  

Pharmaceuticals: 4% Share in Placement
Pharmaceutical Industry leaders recruited candidates from the marketing domain. Industry giants and legacy recruiters like Abbott, AstraZeneca, Medtronic visited the campus, continuing the strong and healthy relationship with JBIMS.

Media and Telecom: 3% Share in Placement
The Media and Telecommunication space saw the participation of companies like Bharti Airtel, Indian Express, Josh Talks, Shemaroo, Vodafone Shared Services. Students were offered most sought after profiles like Corporate Finance among others.
