MAH MBA CET LAST 20 DAYS PREPARATION GUIDE

If you're reading this with 20 days left and feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone! Almost every CET aspirant feels this way at this stage… The good news is that 20 days is enough time to meaningfully improve your score, if you start following the right structure. Here are the five steps you should take immediately to maximize your MBA CET scores.

Step 1: Understand What MBA CET Actually Tests

MBA CET is a 150-minute exam with 200 questions across four sections, as given in the table below:

Sections

Total Questions

Total Marks

Logical Reasoning (LR)

75

75

Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QADI)

50

50

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)

50

50

Abstract Reasoning (AR)

With 200 questions to be answered, MBA CET exam tests only two things: “Speed” & “Accuracy”. It rewards students who can identify the right questions quickly and solve them correctly under time pressure.

Step 2: Focus Only on High-return Topics Now
With just about 20 days to go for the exam, you must focus only on high-return topics now. So, which are the most important topics? Based on 2025 CET paper analysis across all six slots here are some key insights:

  • Logical Reasoning (LR): In this section, Logical Puzzles (19%), Series (11%), Venn Diagrams (9%), and Linear Arrangements (7%) dominate.
  • Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QADI): In this section, Numbers, Time & Distance, and Time & Work together cover over 50% of the section.
  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC): In this section, Reading Comprehension alone is 33% of the section. So learn to skim passages by focusing on the first and last sentences of each paragraph, and move on quickly.
  • Abstract Reasoning (AR): In this section, Series and Odd Man Out are nearly 50% of the section.

So, these high-return topics are your 20-day targets. Focus on these. Everything else is optional…

Step 3: Structure Your Days, not Just Your Syllabus
Split your next 20 days into two buckets:

  • Practice Days: On practice days, do 30 minutes max of concept revision. Then solve at least 30-40 questions on weak topics.
  • Mock Days: Take full 2.5 hours mock tests. No phone, no breaks, real conditions! Target 8 mocks in these 20 days.

Step 4: Avoid Mistake that Kills Most Scores
With just a few days to go for MAH MBA CET exam, 80% of your preparation time should be devoted to solving questions, not watching videos. Most students flip this and wonder why their scores don't move!

For every mock you give, do 5-10 practice tests on the topics where you have gaps. Analyse every mock using three questions: was it a concept gap, a practice gap, or a question selection gap? Students who do this consistently improve. Students who skip it repeat the same mistakes.

Step 5: Final Tips to Improve Scores in Each Section
Finally, here are quick tips to improve scores in each section.

  • Logical Reasoning (LR): For LR, start with topics you're comfortable with to build momentum, before solving puzzles identify the number of unknowns to gauge if it is an Easy/Medium/Difficult puzzle, and use option elimination in Critical Reasoning.
  • Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QADI): For QADI, solve in two rounds first attempt easy and direct questions, then moderate ones, and skip lengthy or trap questions entirely; target 80-85% accuracy rather than attempting everything (If you think you are very weak at Quants, you can use visual cues like using the length of the question to determine if it is easy/medium/difficult question).
  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC): For VARC, skim passages rather than reading word by word, focus on the first and last sentences of each paragraph for RCs, and use the mark-and-move approach when confused.
  • Abstract Reasoning (AR): For AR, treat it like a pattern game. Give 15 seconds to assess the pattern, 30-45 seconds to solve, and move on after 60-75 seconds if you can't crack it!

Concluding Thoughts
In closing, while twenty days is a short time, but it’s enough time to build real momentum. Follow the routine, give mocks with intention, analyse every one of them properly, and trust the process. Students who crack CET in the last stretch are not the ones who studied the most. They are the ones who identified their gaps the fastest and fixed them before exam day. You can be one of them!
