MAT 2018 December Exam: 10 Important Tips to Follow Before and On Exam Day

Only one day is left for MAT 2018 paper based December exam day. AIMA will conduct the paper based MAT 2018 December exam on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 10AM to 12.30PM. If you have applied for December MAT 2018 exam, you should adhere to the exam day tips to crack the test with high score. For the next one day before MAT exam, you should get ready for PBT MAT 2018 and follow the step wise expert tips before and after the MAT exam.

1. Things to Keep Ready for Exam Day
Keep Ready 3 things to carry on MAT exam day MAT Admit card, one original ID proof and one black/blue ball point pen

2. Download MAT Admit Card
Do not leave it for last minute, download your MAT Admit card and take print. Verify your personal details, MAT Test Centre details, Test time (10AM to 12.30PM) and Reporting Time (8.30AM) in MAT Admit Card. Take 2 Prints of MAT Admit Card and read the instructions on it

3. Dont Paste Photo on Admit Card
You do not need to paste any photo on MAT Admit Card. Your scanned image appearing on MAT card is sufficient proof of your image.

4. Carry Acceptable ID Proof
You need one original photo identity proof like Aadhar Card, Voter Id, Driving Licence among others as mentioned on MAT Admit Card. It has to be carried to the MAT exam centre for verification alongwith the hard copy of MAT Admit Card.

5. Carry Black or Blue Ball point pen
The pen should be of smooth writing type as you will need to fill up the ovals on OMR sheet quickly and a hard writing pen can tear or make hole in OMR sheet while shading the oval.

6. Last Minute Preparation
Practice with Mock and Analyse your Mistakes but dont start anything New. Quickly Revisit and Revise key topics. Try to download Blank OMR sheets for practice the filling up of answer options.

7. Dos for Saturday December 8
Gather all the things you need to carry to MAT Test Centre. Visit the MAT test centre a day in advance to understand how much time it will take to reach the venue from your place of stay. It will keep you relieved and comfortable on exam day December 9.

8. Adhere to Reporting Time on Exam Day
Arrive at Test Centre by 8.30AM for security check and verification with your Admit card Photo ID Proof and Ball Point Pen

9. Collect Lower Part of Admit Card
Ensure that the lower part of your Admit Card is returned by the invigilator after putting his/her signature with date of test and stamp on it. You will need it in the final selection round and while applying for MBA admission in the management institute.

10. How to Attempt the Exam: Key Tips

Manage Time during the exam
Dont bother about GK Section, Concentrate on other scoring sections counted for merit calculation
Ensure Speed with Accuracy during the exam. 200 questions are to be solved in 150 minutes
Maximise your attempts with a wise choice of questions
You need to score high if you wish to get admission in MBA programme in a good MBA college. So avoid making mistakes in choosing the questions, correct answer options and in shading the correct ovals on OMR sheet. Sometimes in your hurry you make very small mistakes which cost you dearly.

Scoring the top score of 800 in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) may not be very difficult, if you follow what the earlier MAT toppers advise you to do and make sure that you meticulously prepare the strategy to crack it. MAT scoring pattern is different from other MBA entrance exams. There are 160 questions divided in 4 sections scores of which are taken into account to calculate your percentile in MAT 2018 exam. Each question carries maximum 1 raw mark and after scaling your MAT raw score goes up many times. This score is converted to highest composite score of 800. Roughly it means that your 1 question will carry 5 marks in your final composite score. Accordingly 160 marks are converted to 800 marks. On the basis of this score, you will get your percentile.

This year MAT 2018 exam has brought more than earlier admission options and 300 MBA colleges in almost all the prominent cities will accept MAT 2018 December exam scores for MBA admission 2019.
