NITIE Mumbai has recorded 100% Placement for its MBA 2017-19 batch of 384 students with higher average salary of Rs.19.77 lakhs and the highest domestic salary of Rs 46.5 LPA. 384 students were placed in the process out of which 106 students received Pre-Placement offers through their summer internships. 125 companies participated in the NITIE Placement 2019. Out of them, 30 companies participated in the placement drive at NITIE for the first time

Leaving behind many top MBA colleges including many IIMs, NITIE Mumbai has recorded 100% Placement for its MBA 2017-19 batch of 384 students with higher average salary of Rs.19.77 lakhs.

The final placements season for the class of 2019 was remarkable as NITIE saw a diverse mix of companies spread across various domains and functions, offering niche roles to the students. As always, NITIE remained the choice of recruiters for Supply Chain, Operations, Consulting, BFSI and IT/Analytics roles.

NITIE Placement Trends 2019
National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai wrapped up the final placements for its 2017-19 batch with a highest domestic salary of Rs 46.5 LPA. The average salary offered this year was Rs.19.77 LPA and the median compensation was 19.12 LPA. 384 students were placed in the process out of which 106 students received Pre-Placement offers through their summer internships. 125 companies participated in the NITIE Placement 2019.  Out of them, 30 companies participated in the placement drive at NITIE for the first time.

The median compensation has increased to 19.12 LPA this year. This season saw the continuing strong-hold of the institute in the domain of supply chain and operations with 182 offers. Consulting and IT/Analytics were not far behind and their contribution remained overwhelming with 111 offers combined which accounts for 29% of the batch.

Another positive trend in NITIE Placement 2019 was the increase in the number of companies offering sales and marketing profiles. Coveted recruiters like Maruti Suzuki, Rivigo, Yes Bank, Siemens & ICICI Bank offered roles in this domain to the candidates.

EHS, Project Management and Manufacturing Management have now proven to be the unique specialty here at NITIE as the batch drew a plethora of recruiters and found its right stronghold

First Time Recruiters
NITIE witnessed 30 new recruiters participating in placement 2019. Some of the first-time recruiters on campus were ATG, Dabur, Eaton, Jaipur Rugs, Ola Cabs, OYO rooms, Tata Global Beverages, Vodafone among others.

Manufacturing & FMCG: 42% Offers
42% of job offers came from Manufacturing & FMCG sector with Ab InBev, Asian Paints, Castrol, Colgate-Palmolive, Godrej Consumers, HUL, ITC, Mondelez, Nestle, P&G, Pernod Ricard, RIL, Schneider Electric, Vedanta being the primary recruiters.

Consulting & IT/Analytics: 29% Offers
29% of the offers were made by the leading Consulting and IT/Analytics firms which included Accenture Strategy, CBC, Capgemini, Deloitte India, Deloitte USI, EY, GeP, IBM, KPMG, Optum Advisory UHG, PwC US Advisory, PwC India, TCS IT, Wipro among others.

Finance: 50+ Offers
Finance developed a solid base at NITIE with a strong turnout of companies rolling out 50+ offer. 8% of Job offers were made by notable firms from the BFSI sector such as Aditya Birla Capital, Edelweiss, Fidelity Investments, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata AIG, Yes Bank. Another positive trend was the increase in the number of companies offering sales and marketing profiles. Recruiters like ICICI Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Rivigo, Siemens offered roles in this domain to the candidates.

Pharma & Healthcare
Abbott, Cipla, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Episource, Fresenius Medical Care have offered premium profiles to the students.

Retail/ECommerce
Major Retail/E-Commerce firms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Madura Fashion, Pepperfry, Walmart, Zomato also participated in the placement drive. The campus saw multiple offers being rolled out by Airtel, ACT Fibernet, RPG, Samsung, Tata Sky among others

The Class of 2019 was a perfect blend of fresh graduates and experienced professionals. It had students from diverse engineering backgrounds coming from the institutes like IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani among others. The strong placement performance is a result of NITIE’s constant pursuit to make its curriculum more relevant to the Industry and Stakeholder requirements of today.

National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai was established by the Government of India in 1963 with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the International Labour Organization (ILO) to create skilled professionals. The institute was funded by the Government of India and registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is located in Powai near Vihar Lake in Mumbai. NITIE which was started as an Industrial Engineering institute, is now one of the highly ranked Management institutes. It offers post graduate diplomas in various fields of management and industrial engineering as well as doctoral level fellowship programmes.
