Important Dates & Instructions for CMAT Test Takers

CMAT applicants, here are 3 key points to note:

  1. Last Date to apply: If you haven’t applied for Welingkar Mumbai and Bangalore yet with your CMAT Scores, you can do so now. Last date is April 19, 2021. Apply now.
  2. Update your Scores now: If you have already applied to Welingkar, update your CMAT Scores by April 19, 2021. This is the last date.
  3. CMAT Cut Offs: Welingkar Mumbai campus CMAT cut off is 80 percentile, Bengaluru campus CMAT cut off is 75 percentile. However candidates with relevant education background for Healthcare and Rural management program, the CMAT Cut Off is relaxed to 70 percentile.

How can CMAT Test Takers improve chances for Welingkar Admissions?
When asked for advice to CMAT test takers on how to improve their chances to get admissions, Welingkar Admission Team offered following important suggestions:

  1. First is to make sure students apply by April 19, 2021. This is the last chance!
  2. Students should apply to atleast 4-5 programs basis their area of interest and aptitude and not restrict to on the PGDM program.”
  3. Candidates with experience should try and correlate what they have done and their education background and apply to programs that will take them to next level.

Important Dates & Instructions for ATMA Test Takers
If you did not do too well in CMAT 2021, Welingkar is also accepting ATMA Test which will be held on April 25. Here are important points for ATMA Test Takers:

  1. If you haven’t applied for Welingkar yet, you can do so now. Last date for ATMA Test Takers is also April 19, 2021. Apply now.
  2. You can update your ATMA Score and Percentile once the ATMA results are declared. ATMA Students will get two days after ATMA declares the results to update their scores.

Welingkar Admission Eligibility

  1. Eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  2. The graduation must be completed by June 2021
  3. The candidate should be registered and should appear in one of the following exams to be considered for admission at Welingkar - CAT 2020/XAT 2021/CMAT 2021/ATMA (Feb 2021 or GMAT (Taken from 2018 onwards) and must score positive to become eligible for admission.
  4. A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results is also eligible to apply for Admission 2021.
  5. It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by Welingkar and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination by the stipulated date as announced by the institute.

  • The applicants who apply by the last date are shortlisted on the basis of their profiles. These candidates need to meet a minimum qualifying score in the entrance exam.
  • Candidates who fulfil the following criteria are shortlisted for profile based calls: Profile Plus Cut off based - The institute + if any + Extra Curricular Activities ( Strictly District, State, National & international level only) if any are considered for short listing to the GDPI.
  • Welingkar considers Academic profile with Class 10, 12 and Graduation Marks
  • Relevant Work Experience is considered in Profile Based Shortlisting
  • Extra-Curricular Activities (District, State, National, International level only) are considered in shortlisting for GD-PI round
  • GD-PI is held at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata
  • The scores of entrance exams can be submitted later by the last date for cut off consideration
  • If the candidate has applied for profile based Shortlisitng and is not considered, would be considered again for non-profile based shortlisting.
  • Mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria does not ensure consideration for short listing for next stage of Admissions process

Final Admission Selection Round Criteria

  • Post short-listing applicants are called for the GD-PI round at one of the four centres Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata
  • All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to go through the final selection round
  • Final selection is based on Entrance exam score, Work Experience, Academic performance, Extra-curricular activities, Group Activity score, Personal Interview score.
  • Final admission offer based on above parameters is given to the candidates in April/May 2021.
  • Admissions are based on merit only. No discrimination is made on basis of the state from which graduation certificate is obtained. There are no reservations for linguistic minorities either.
