XAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: Last Minute Tips, Dos & Donts; Things to Carry on Jan 7, 2024

XAT 2024 exam is on Sunday January 7, 2024 in a single slot from 2 PM to 5.30 PM. XLRI has  issued specific XAT 2024 Last Minute Tips and exam day guidelines for the 135000 XAT aspirants who have registered to appear in XAT 2024. In its XAT 2024 test day guidelines, XLRI has asked the candidates to follow the Last Minute Tips for XAT 2024, XAT Exam Day Do's & Don'ts, XAT dress code and adhere to reporting time at test centre.  Before we check the XAT exam day guidelines, check below the XAT 2024 exam schedule, reporting time, gate closure time at test centre:

XAT 2024 Last Minute Tips: Getting Prepared for the Exam Day
You should get prepared with following for the exam day:

Gather Required Documents
You will require hard copy of your admit card with your passport size photo affixed on it. If not done till now, download your XAT Admit Card from CXT Website, take print on A4 size paper, fix your identical photograph in the given space on it. Keep your Admit Card ready for the exam day.

• Recheck following details mentioned in the Admit Card: Your Name, XAT Application Number, PwD status, Date and Day of Test, Test Timing, Reporting/ Entry time at Centre, Gate Closing Time at Centre, Test City, Test Centre address.
• Check Photo Id: You will also need one of the original photo Id like Aadhar card, Voter Id card, Student ID card, Employee ID Card, Driving License or any other original photo ID document acceptable at Exam centre. Keep it ready alongwith your CAT admit card

XLRI has specifically asked the XAT 2024 test takers, “Candidates should bring the admit card along with any one of the following valid photo ID proof. (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID Card/PAN Card/Valid college ID Card/Passport/Driving License/Employee ID Card). In case of any discrepancy in the photograph, candidate should bring one recent passport size photograph.”

XAT Day Dress Code: Must Follow
XLRI has shared XAT exam day dress code for male and female which they need to follow meticulously. Any breach in following the XAT day dress code may cost the candidates denial of entry to the test centre. Following the correct dress code on XAT day will make sure that you appear in the exam without getting subjected to different type of problems before or during the XAT exam. Below are shared the XAT 2024 Dress Code for Exam Day

XAT Day Dress Code

• Simple dressing with plain cardigans/sweaters are recommended
• Girls should not wear Jewellery or Metal Accessories
• Girls should not apply Hena (Mehndi) on Palm side
• No Shoes are allowed with thick soles inside the test centre
• Plain pullovers, sweaters, cardigans that do not have any pockets are allowed in the testing lab
• No Jackets, Coats with pockets are allowed
• Candidates will not be allowed to wear garments with large buttons inside the XAT exam centre.

XAT Exam Day Do's & Don'ts

• Arrive at XAT Exam Centre by the reporting time of 12.30 PM. The gates will close at 1.50 PM
• No electronic gadgets are allowed like mobile phones, watches, calculators
• No wallet, goggles should be carried to the XAT test centre
• Candidates will undergo a frisking process. Only XAT admit card, photo identity card, required medical certificate(s) and scribe affidavit (if any) would be permitted beyond the frisking point.
• If any candidate is using metal implant, pacemaker, he/she will have to bring a supporting medical certificate of the same to the test centre.

XAT 2024 Exam Day Strategy

• You will be allowed to login to your respective system 10 minutes prior to the exam commencement
• You can go through the XAT Test taking instructions during this duration
• Guardians/relatives/friends accompanying the candidates are not allowed inside the test center
• Rough sheet will be provided to you at the test centre inside the examination lab
• You need to submit the admit card, rough sheets to the invigilator after the exam

Choose the Dress, Relax and Take a Good Night Sleep
Throw away your anxiety and relax before the exam day. Good sleep is necessary before the exam. All the XAT toppers have advised not to worry about the exam and have a relaxed and good sleep in the night before the exam. Choose the dress that you wish to wear on the exam day. However, make sure that your dress does not violate the XAT day dress code. 

All your hard preparation for XAT 2024 may go waste if you do not get clear understanding for your XAT exam day guidelines. Your testing room strategy is very important and you must be aware how your XAT 2024 exam will begin, how you should answer the questions in testing lab and what events will take place immediately before, during and after the XAT 2024 exam. 

It will be better to make prior necessary arrangements for travel, food, accommodation and any other expenses. Identify mode of transport and commute time for the Exam Day in order to reach the Test Centre on time on the day of the Exam
