Panic among Students
All through the earlier CMAT exams, the test takers could immediately apply for admission after release of CMAT result as it contained Percentile score, Raw score and Rank. Since all the institutes announce their likely CMAT cut off percentile well in advance, it was easy for the applicants to check their corresponding percentile and apply. This year they are unable to follow this rule
Distress Among Admission Heads
All the leading management institutes accepting CMAT score now have to decide their cut off based on raw score or rank or both. These B schools like GIM Goa, Great Lakes, K J Somaiya, BIMTECH, IMT Nagpur had already announced their expected cut off percentile for CMAT exam. Now they will have to devise again their admission criteria and cut offs without CMAT percentile

National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by Government of India as a testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. NTA has replaced AICTE as exam conducting authority. AICTE conducted CMAT exam till 2018. CMAT is now known as NTA CMAT instead of AICTE-CMAT. From 2019 onwards, National Testing Agency has been assigned to conduct the CMAT exam.
The revised CMAT exam is similar to past exam pattern. It is a three hour computer based online test, conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across four sections like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
