CMAT Exam Pattern 2021 consists of 100 questions of MCQ type divided in 4 sections. CMAT 2021 is a three hour computer based online test which will be conducted in single shift on January 24, 2021. The CMAT exam pattern is designed to evaluate the candidate's ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.  

 

National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous testing organization created by Government of India, has been assigned the responsibility to conduct the CMAT and other entrance examinations for higher educational institutions instead of AICTE. CMAT 2021 Exam pattern has been designed by NTA to facilitate Management Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission in all AICTE approved Management programs. The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges

CMAT Pattern 2021: Key facts

  • NTA has announced that CMAT pattern 2021 will be on similar lines as was held in the past.
  • CMAT 2021 exam pattern is computer based and there is no paper based CMAT exam
  • CMAT 2021 Pattern will be a 3 hours duration exam
  • The exam will be held in a single shift from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM
  • A few changes are expected in the structure and content of CMAT paper pattern
  • No test taker in CMAT 2021 will be disqualified even if he/she scores very low​

CMAT Paper Pattern: Activity, Do’s & Don’ts, Unique Features

  1. NTA will release CMAT Mock Test one month before the CMAT 2021 exam date on CMAT exam website.
  2. Go through the CMAT 2021 trial test to have a feel of the online computer based CMAT paper pattern carefully and familiarize yourself with the screens, layout, and navigation tools in the revised CMAT exam pattern.
  3. At the CMAT test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations.
  4. After the CMAT exam is over, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk.
  5. CMAT Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the CMAT testing room. No breaks will be given during the CMAT exam.
  6. One of the key features in CMAT 2020 exam pattern is that none of the candidates in CMAT 2021 will be disqualified even if they score very low. The objective of the test is not to eliminate the candidates from the process of seeking admission in the AICTE approved management programmes, rather to facilitate the institutions to select the suitable candidates as per their merit. 

Role of NTA in CMAT Exam 2021
The role of NTA is limited to conduct of CMAT 2021 exam but it has no role in granting approval to any PGDM or equivalent programme. AICTE is the authority to grant approval to different types of PGDM programmes of the management institutes.
