PGDM offered at IBA is a residential course and residential charges varies from Rs.1, 98,000/- to Rs. 2,88,000/- for the 2 years PGDM program, depending on the type of occupancy. IBA Bangalore Admission Eligibility

  1. IBA eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline, with at least 50% marks or equivalent
  2. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required percentage of marks is 45% in graduation.
  3. The candidate should have appeared in at least one of the MBA entrance exams - CAT 2019/XAT 2020/ CMAT 2020/MAT (Sept. 2019, Dec. 2019 & Feb. 2020)/ATMA 2019-20/ GMAT after Sept. 2019/ GRE after Sept. 2019/GATE 2019/20. You need to submit the photocopy of Score Card along with filled Application Form.
  4. If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence to determine PGDM admission eligibility would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IBA Bangalore to confirm the Admission eligibility of the candidate. 
  5. A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply

IBA Bangalore Admission Procedure

  • Eligible Students can apply to IBA by filling the Online Application Form.
  • Students will receive an email having their User ID and Password on their registered primary email id for the future reference.
  • Application Fee can be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / Demand Draft. After payment of the application fee and submission of the application form, students will receive a PDF copy of filled application form on their registered primary email id.
  • Students shall send a printed copy of filled application form along with other documents as mentioned in an email received by a student after submitting Online Form.
  • Once the application is received by the Admission Department of IBA, Bangalore, the student will receive a confirmation call and an email from the admissions department regarding the initial round of selection process i.e. submission of the SOP (Statement of Purpose).
  • Next step of selection process will be intimated to a student after receipt of SOP.
    Student/s will attend the Selection Process on the designated Date and Time along with the Original Copies of all the relevant documents.
  • The result will be intimated to students within 3 to 4 working days from the day of Selection Process. Selected students will receive an Admission Letter through email as well as by Post.
  • Student/s needs to send a confirmation mail of accepting the offer of admission within the specified date as mentioned in admission letter. After the last date, the seat will be offered to the next deserving candidate.
    Selected students are required to pay the prescribed fee by the date specified in admission letter.

IBA Bangalore Admission Criteria
The IBA Bangalore Admission Criteria 2020 is a two step process involving the Shortlisting criteria based on entrance exam score & the academic background and the Final admission selection Criteria based on other key components apart from entrance exam score like SOP, work experience, extra curricular activities and Interview performance

  1. IBA Bangalore Shortlisting Criteria
    The first part of IBA Admission criteria is the shortlisting criteria before final selection round. IBA Bangalore will shortlist the candidates on the basis of following parameters:
  • IBA will consider aggregate scores of 10th, 12th and Bachelor Degree performance
  • IBA will short-list the candidates for GD/PI round based on their best available test scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GRE/GATE
  • Applicants may submit more than one entrance test score. IBA will consider the best test score for shortlisting.
  1. Final Admission Selection Round Criteria

The objective of IBA Selection Process for MBA aspirants is to assess communication skills, presentation skills, knowledge on current affairs, entrepreneurial abilities, understanding of markets, attitude, and aptness to take up the rigour of the programme.

  • Post short-listing on the basis of available scores, applicants will be called for the final selection round (GD-PI Round)
  • The candidates have to submit Statement of Purpose (SoP) during final selection round
  • All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to go through the GD/PI round
  • Final selection is based on entrance exam score, Statement of Purpose (SoP), Academic Performance, Work Experience, performance in Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) among others
  • Final results will be declared within 3 to 4 working days from the day of GD & PI
  • Selected students are required to pay the prescribed fee within the specified date as mentioned in admission letter after the selection results failing which the seat will be offered to next deserving candidate
  • New Academic Session will commence on 18thJune 2020.
