Responding to MBAUniverse.com query, IIM CAP Convenor has assured candidates that if they are facing a genuine clash of dates, IIM Kashipur, alongwith other participating IIMs, will try their best to change your IIM CAP Interview dates.
IIM Kashipur is conducting Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024 for 10 participating IIMs in Online mode from February 12 to March 2, 2024. Out of the 20000+ candidates participating in CAP 2024, while many are facing difficulty of CAP PI date clash with other IIMs and B-schools, number of candidates could not upload all the required documents and are worried about the loss of candidature due to these problems. To get these queries answered, MBAUniverse.com approached, Prof Abhradeep Maiti, Faculty and Admission Chair at IIM Kashipur and Convener of IIM CAP 2024. Prof Maiti in his interview has addressed the queries. Edited Excerpts from a short interview follows:
MBAUniverse.com: How the CAP 2024 coming along…
CAP Convener: We seek to make the process more applicant-friendly every year. In this endeavour, we are continuing with the online interview process to minimize the travel costs for the applicants. Overall student response has been good so far.
MBAUniverse.com: In case of a clash in interview dates in CAP and other institutes, is it possible to reschedule the CAP date? Please guide.
CAP Convener: Yes. We understand that some students may be facing this challenge. Such candidates can send rescheduling requests to the helpline email ID, given on their PI dashboard. We will try to accommodate such requests as far as possible, and the candidate will get a revised PI schedule on their registered email ID.
MBAUniverse.com: Does the candidate have to send any documents along with the mail?
CAP Convener: Yes, the candidate has to send the supporting documents to ascertain the genuine problem. This is very important step, so candidates must ensure to send relevant documents.
MBAUniverse.com: Some candidates have not been able to upload all documents during CAP Registration. Is there any recourse for them to complete it now?
CAP Convener: Such candidates are supposed to show their correct documents at the time of Admission, if offered, to the respective IIM.
CAP-participating IIMs reserve the right to authenticate supporting documents and reject the candidature of any applicant in case any discrepancy is found at any time, even in the case of any provisional admission.
MBAUniverse.com: How will the candidates know their PI Score in CAP 2024?
CAP Convener: We plan to display the normalized PI score to the applicants through our portal so that they can self-evaluate their performance during the PI process.
MBAUniverse.com: When will CAP 2024 PI round get over?
CAP Convener: CAP-PI round started on February 12 and is expected to end on March 02, 2024.
MBAUniverse.com: By when are CAP results expected…
CAP Convener: CAP results are expected to be released in the first week of May 2024. We will keep you updated.
