IIM Kozhikode has inducted largest ever batch of MBA program for working executives, earlier known as Executive Post Graduate Program (EPGP). IIM Kozhikode has witnessed a spike of 64% in admissions, with a diverse group of 369 candidates with industry experience in its 12th batch of EPGP. The selected candidates for the batch are from varied sectors like IT, operations & services, construction and manufacturing, banking & insurance, entrepreneurship, selected as part of this batch. The induction ceremony for the Batch was organised at IIM Kozhikode campus on Monday, November 25, 2019.
Empowered with IIM Act 2017, IIM Kozhikode is now offering MBA for Working Executives instead of earlier Diploma program known as Executive Post Graduate Program (EPGP). IIM Kozhikode delivers the Executive MBA programs through an Interactive Learning platform where participants can attend the classes from the designated classroom centers available at their locations.
The MBA (Master of Business Administration) programe for working executives (earlier known as Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management, offered by IIM Kozhikode is a two years master’s degree program in management offered on interactive Learning (IL) platform.
The MBA Executive (EPGP) program at IIM Kozhikode is accredited by the AMBA (Association of MBAs) since 2011 and the objective of the programme is to impart management education to working executives seeking skills and strategies to take their organizations to the next level.
IIM Kozhikode has been continuously updating the programme curriculum to stay on par with global standards. The programme with 750 instruction hours provides the participants with skills for leadership in the knowledge economy through an innovative curriculum. The duration of the programme is two academic years split into seven quarters and on successful completion of the program, participants would be awarded the title “Master of Business Administration”.
Speaking on the occasion of EPGP induction program, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode, informed the participants that IIMK pioneered the Interactive Learning (IL) Program for working executives in the entire Asia Pacific way back in 2001 with a year-long General Management Programme, which today as a two year-long Executive Post Graduate Programme and is the most rigorous and the most sought-after executive program in management in the country.
Encouraging the EPGP 12 inductees, he added that “Our aspirations should be greater than their resources. In a world which is growing exponentially the true leaders of the future will be the ones who think beyond linearity. By virtue of thinking and acting exponentially while also imbibing the values of social environmental learning they can navigate the new world.”
Prof. Anandakuttan B Unnithan, Dean (Academic Affairs & Development), Prof. C. Raju, Dean (Extension Programs) and Prof. Priya Nair Rajeev, EPGP Chairperson also welcomed the industry professionals and expressed confidence that the value addition earned during the course of their training here at IIMK will give them distinct advantage in their future career trajectory.
MBA programme ( for working executives) provides an opportunity to attend a 'Masterclass Webinar Series' and receive a Statement of Participation Certificate from the Stanford Center for Professional Development (a part of Stanford University).
The MBA working executive program fee is Rs.12.12 lakhs which also includes Alumni member fee and contribution to student welfare fund.
