IRMA Placement 2020: Average Salary at Rs.10.80 LPA; Highest Salary Up at Rs.52 LPA

The highest salary has gone up at Rs.52 LPA from Rs.50.31LPA last year while average salary has stood at Rs.10.80 LPA for business sector. IRMA Anand Placement 2020 for the 2018-20 batch has broken its own record in getting higher placement packages, higher number of placement offers and more number of recruiters. A pioneering academic institution in rural management education and research, Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), has concluded placement 2020 for its two-year flagship program in rural management (PG Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) with higher placement packages. The placement week was conducted during December 2 to December 9, 2019.

This year the total batch size was 233 students, out of which 226 students registered for the campus placements (one student was a sponsored candidate, and six students opted out of the campus placements).   

Despite the recent deceleration in the economy and the fact that PGDRM 39th was the largest batch ever, IRMA placements were highly successful. Twenty-seven students were placed through Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), and 199 students were placed through the campus placement process. Students received 314 job offers from 109 organizations.

The average salary offered by the business sector organizations stands at Rs. 10.80 lakhs per annum and that for the development sector organizations (NGOs, Cooperatives, and Government Development Agencies) stands at Rs. 10.74 lakhs per. The median salary stands at Rs. 10.45 lakhs per annum.  The maximum salary for the batch stands at Rs. 52.00 lakhs per annum, and the minimum salary consciously chosen by the student in the development sector stands at Rs. 4.80 lakhs.

A total of 42 students took up offers made by NGOs, Government Agencies, and CSR foundations. Organizations such as Vedanta Foundation, Caspian, BAIF Development Research Foundation, TVS-Srinivasan Service Trust, Government of Telangana (Dept of Panchayati Raj & Rural Development), Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, BASIX, etc., recruited through the campus placements.

Placement 2020 at IRMA saw good number of students getting PPOs. 27 students at IRMA were placed through Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) from various organizations.  

Top Recruiters
Like last year, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) emerged as the single largest recruiter. Mother Dairy was the second-largest recruiter this year. Multinational and national agribusiness corporations such as Tolaram, ITC Agribusiness Division, ADM Agro, Seedworks, Adani Wilmar, Emami Agrotech participated in the placements.

From the FMCG and Retail sector, Reliance Retails, Future Group, Metro Cash & Carry, Ninjacart recruited from IRMA.

Banking, finance, and insurance companies such as ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, Axis Bank, Fullerton, Vivriti Capital, ICICI Prudential, Bharati AXA, Reliance General Insurance, and several small finance banks recruited from the campus this year.
