ISB Placements 2022: Sets New Benchmark

The Indian School of Business (ISB), with campuses at Mohali and Hyderabad, has set new bench marks in the campus placements for the PGP Class of 2022. The average salary has gone up by 20.78% at Rs.34.07 LPA and is highest so far. 2066 placement offers were made to 929 ISB students. ISB follows a system of Rolling Placements, a lateral hiring process that is spread over several weeks, giving both recruiters and students time to find their best fit

ISB Placements 2022: Sets New Benchmark

Placements 2022 at Indian School of Business (ISB) are setting new bench marks with high increase in placement offers. The Indian School of Business (ISB), with campuses at Mohali and Hyderabad, has concluded the campus placements for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), Class of 2022. The placements for ISB's PGP Class of 2022 witnessed several highs and firsts.

The average salary has gone up at Rs. 34.07 LPA registering an increase of 20.78% compared to last year salary of Rs.28.21 LPA. The top industries in terms of offers were Consulting, IT/ITES/Technology, BFSI, FMCG/Retail and Pharma/Healthcare. ISB has 39% of women students in the class, which is among the highest in leading business schools. 41% of offers were made to women students. The Class of 2022 of 929 students, highest-class size for any MBA or equivalent programme in India and among the world's top 10 class sizes, received 2066 offers

On successful ISB placements 2022, Professor Ramabhadran Thirumalai, Deputy Dean, Academic Programmes, ISB said, "Established conglomerates and startups alike, have made ISB their campus of choice when scouting for high-quality talent. ISB follows an integrated system of placements process for its two campuses at Mohali and Hyderabad, in line with its core tenet of 'One-School Two Campuses' philosophy. Due to the pandemic, the entire process was conducted in a virtual mode. ISB follows a system of ‘Rolling Placements’, a lateral hiring process that is spread over several weeks, giving both recruiters and students time to find their best fit. ISB has a stong alumni base of 12000 students working in top positions across the globe.

Consulting firms made 37% offers this year, making ISB a preferred choice. Almost all the top tier strategy, operation and technology consulting companies made their presence felt and made a total of 755 offers cutting across strategy, technology, transactional and operational consulting space - indicating a high number of opportunities available for students who wish to make a beginning in consulting companies immediately post ISB.

Top Consulting firms that made offers included McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company India Pvt. Ltd., Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte India, Deloitte USI, Accenture Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Kearney, PricewaterhouseCoopers, PwC AC, ZS Associates, KPMG, Alvarez and Marsal India Private Limited, LEK Consulting, Arthur D. Little, EY Parthenon Strategy MENA, EY India, among others. Dalberg and Samagra, in the social consulting space, continued their presence at ISB.

IT/ITES/Technology, Product and E-Commerce
Marquee names and startups in the domain of Payment Solutions, Analytics, HealthTech, Education, AgriTech, Retail, and others continued robust hiring in Technology and Product Management space from the campus. Almost 26% of total offers came from IT/ITES/Technology, Product and E-Commerce space. Some prominent names that hired in this space are Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Uber, Cisco, Tata Digital, Jio Platforms, RazorPay, Myntra, Ola Electric, Zynga, Nykaa, Dream11 and Paytm were among diverse E-commerce, Gaming and Technology companies that offered multiple roles - Product, Sales, Project Management, Strategy and Operations within the tech space.

BFSI
Top private and MNC banks such as Axis Bank, Credit Suisse, First Rand Bank, Barclays, Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo among others vied for talent from ISB and gave a good number of offers. Investment Banks like Ambit, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, Merisis Advisors evaluated students from ISB. PE/ VC firms like Gaja Advisors, Matrix Partners, W Health Ventures continued to hire from ISB. Companies within the Financial services domain like MasterCard, Nomura and Tresvista Financial Services, also upcoming FinTechs made offers for specialized roles such as Investment Advisory, Research, Relationship Management, Product Management. This year almost 9.78% of the total offers have come from the BFSI segment. This includes non-BFSI firms hiring for finance roles from ISB. The roles that ISB graduates landed were as diverse as Corporate Finance, Treasury, Private Banking, Investment Management, Investment Banking, Chief of Staff, EA to CXOs and Fintech

General Management, Sales and Marketing and Healthcare
Conglomerates such as Aditya Birla Group, RIL, JSW Group, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steels India and Adani Enterprises continued to engage with ISB for their prestigious leadership/management trainee programs with roles ranging from management trainees to executive assistants to CXOs. 5% offers came from the pharma/healthcare space. Besides sales and marketing, some of the top FMCG MNCs picked up lateral talent from ISB in functions such as supply chain, operations, strategy, and finance. FMCG / FMCD giants such as HUL, Procter and Gamble, ITC, AB InBev, L'Oreal, Samsung rolled out offers to ISB students

Placements of Women Students
Hiring of women students saw an upsurge with a host of companies hiring for leadership roles in good numbers. The PGP class of 2022 has 39% women which is among the highest women representation at top B-schools. 41% offers in ISB Placements 2022 have gone to women students.
