IBS Dehradun is led by Prof (Dr.) Santanu Roy, Director IBS Dehradun. He is a Chartered Member, Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, UK. He is a Ph.D., Industrial Engineering & Management, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and holds an M.S. Degree in Physics from IIT Delhi. He has carried out sponsored research/consultancy assignments for UNDP, DANIDA, Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), NISSAT, DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. He had served as a Member of the Local Project Advisory Committee (LPAC) of two Government of India Projects - ‘India’s Reverse Brain Gain in Liberalized Era’, and ‘Knowledge Creation and Innovation in an Emerging Technology: Contemporary and Future Scenario in Nanotechnology’, and as a Member of the Project Advisory Committee of an IIT Kharagpur Project, ‘Technology Adoption in Tea Industry with Special Reference to North East India’. Dr. Roy has been a Corporate Trainer for companies such as HINDALCO Industries Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Central Public Works Department (CPWD) in India, and the Landmark Group, Choithrams, and Redington Gulg FZE in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
