IIM Mumbai Director: Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari (FNAE, FASc, FNASc, FIISE) is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in Manufacturing Systems and Supply Chain Management. As the Founding Director of IIM Mumbai, he elevated its NIRF ranking from 29 to 6 during his tenure. He has also held key roles such as Dean of Planning at IIT Kharagpur and Vice Chancellor (additional charge) of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
Prof. Tiwari has published over 370 research papers, with more than 31,000 citations and an H-index of 87 (Google Scholar). Recipient of prestigious awards like the David F. Baker Distinguished Research Award (2023), he is recognized globally as one of the top contributors in Production and Operations Management.
