IIM Udaipur Director: Prof. Ashok Banerjee has been the Director of IIM Udaipur since August 1, 2022, succeeding founding Director Prof. Janat Shah. A Chartered Accountant with an M.Com from Calcutta University and a Ph.D. from Rajasthan University, Prof. Banerjee is a seasoned academician with expertise in high-frequency finance, Fintech, and sentiment analysis. Prior to this role, he served as a senior professor in Finance and Control at IIM Calcutta and was instrumental in establishing the IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, a DST-recognized Technology Business Incubator, during his tenure as Dean (2012–2015).

In addition to his academic contributions, Prof. Banerjee is an independent director on boards of financial and technology firms, bringing industry insights to his leadership. His appointment marks a new chapter in IIM Udaipur's pursuit of academic excellence and innovation.
